Upon receiving this CD player by "Bell+Howell", I was pleased with its aesthetic appeal and that its operating buttons were on the top, rather than being crowded under the cd port like most of the other models. However, when I tried unsuccessfully for several hours to get it to load music onto a USB I tried contacting Bell & Howell. That company's agent claimed ignorance of the manufacturer of said CD Player. I have been unable to determine if the "+" and the "&" symbols between the words "Bell" and "Howell" mean anything, or if they are completely different manufacturers. After finally deciding to return said CD player it, I decided to try to get it to work one more time by using the handset instead of the buttons on the player. Doing so, I finally was able to load music onto the USB. Even though It took an inordinately long time to do so, I have decided to keep the CD player because it's favorable features appear to outweigh the difficulties that I have described. A caveat would be that I would give the manufacturer, whether spelled with a "+" or "&"," a zero rating for its incompetence in its lack of connectivity to the consumer.

Very nice and compact. Stylish too! FM radio stations are a bit hard to tune in to....static.

The instructions are more of a quick start that leaves some important information out. Like how to program stations or To delete stations. USB doesn’t pick up where it leaves off but starts from the number 1 track. This is more annoying than I thought it would be. The sound is less than satisfactory but again not enough information to select the right setting or maybe it’s so pose to sound like a song playing in a cardboard box ?I’m very disappointed in Amazon yet again.

The sound is great for this type of unit - and if you really want to be impressed, crank up the volume! It handles loud volume well and sounds even better than at lower volumes. I was looking for a more modern replacement for the Bose Wave I have had for years and am very impressed by the quality sound - although I loved the Bose sound when I first got it, this unit far outperforms it. It's attractive, easy to use and easy to set up. However, there are a couple of idiosyncrasies I'm not so crazy about and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. 1) When you first turn the unit on it does not return to anything you had it set at the previous time - it doesn't remember what you were using (CD or radio, etc.), and returns to a default volume (5, I think), which is kind of a loud starting volume if you were listening to the radio previously. 2) Trying to get to a specific radio station is a PITA. You're supposed to be able to press the GoTo key and then enter the radio station's number (ie, 97.9, 102.7, etc.), but it times out much too quickly when you are trying to enter the number and you also have to press the 0/10 or 10+ key if the station is less than or greater than 100 mHz and then enter the station number, but again, it times out too quickly. I tried several times and then got annoyed, so I just use the l>l keys to step through until I get to the station I'm looking for. 3) There is no presetting of stations the way most of us would do it (I could preset stations on the Bose). The only way to store stations in memory is to use the Search function to search for available radio stations, which it then saves to specific numbers (a total of 20, I think). Then you get to try and remember which station it assigned to what number. In spite of these annoying limitations I really like this unit a lot for the quality sound and attractive appearance. No regrets and I would purchase it again. It outperforms the Bose at a much less expensive price.

My husband and I have been married 20+ years and have just about everything we could want. For this year's anniversary we gave each other this Music System. We listen to the radio in the mornings and CDs pretty often (yes, we're old school). The sound is so much better than our old player, the volume meets all our needs to hear between rooms, and the remote is a great bonus. Good Quality and Great Sound!
