It is a simple device. It fits well on the terminals and locks itself into place so the battery won't slip. It is easy to store in the plastic bag it came in.

One of our vehicles' battery died and this came in handy to transport the battery to shop for load testing. It does what it is supposed to for securely lifting and moving batteries. My husband says there are more advanced ones for different terminal configurations but for most batteries, this is a cost effective strap to keep in the garage.

I got this when after I had my car in for service recently, and they routine battery check showed low CCA. Here in the South, a battery takes a beating from the heat, and if you get 3-4 years your doing really well. Mine was 44 months old.I buy at a membership warehouse, and you have to change your own battery out. I arrived, and unbolted the base bolt that holds the battery in and disconnected the terminals. The strap just slips onto the terminals, and uses the weigh of the battery leveraged against itself, along with gripping teeth to securely hold on. It's a simple but very effective mechanism.The battery was super easy to pull straight up and out, instead of trying to get your hands into a near impossibly tight area, at least in my vehicle. I pulled the old one out and plopped it into a shopping cart, rolled it right into the auto center, returned the core and purchased my new one. From the cart, the strap made it simple work to lift the new battery into place. After bolting it in and reconnecting the terminals I was on my way. Total time was less then 15 minutes, and zero struggle.If you buy at a store that will install your battery for you, that's great. My particular battery was 25% less money at my warehouse club, so worth the self install and the price of this tool. I have zero trouble recommending this simple and effective device for anyone DIY-in the install. It will likely last many years to come, and since we have multiple vehicles, and I'll loan it to anyone I hear needs it, It's a great value.
