Easy to install and works great. Replaced the scratched and hazy camera that was on my truck. It's nice to have a clear image while backing up again.

2015 Silverado 2500HD- Easy install, 15 minutes. You will need a T15 bit, a T20 bit, and 3’ of string to chase the wire. The unit plugs in next to the spare tire. You will not need to remove the spare tire to access the plug. I was hoping for as clear of a picture as my wife’s 2021, I did not get that but I did get a much, MUCH better picture than what the stock camera offered. Pics attached. Happy with the purchase.

wasn't hard to change, the two difficult things were fishing the wire and removing the old plug on the truck side. I wound up destroying it to get it out but if you take your time you can do that without damaging the truck side of the plugNot as clear as my 2023 but still a major improvement

Great replacement for blurry camera. Easy installation. Put down tailgate, remove panel on backside of tailgate, two screws hold the camera in. Cut the wire on old camera and tape new wire to old one to use old to pull new through holes. Go under truck to pull old and new wire through the holes. Route under bed, disconnect old one and connect new one. Didn’t have to mess with spare tire at all.

The first one I received was defected, would not work at all. I’ve received a replacement. I found it to be OK but not great. Image was barely as good as original or Slightly less. Viewing area was smaller than original factory cam. Would not recommend as upgrade. Maybe OK to replace broken or bad existing, But still has a smaller image.

A few installation tips: Remove the spare first, much more room. Unplug the old camera. The wire is the braided one just to the drivers side of center near the backside of where the spare was (near the inside of the hitch). Pull down the red tab and pull out the plug. After unscrewing the old camera, cut the wire off and tie it to the new plug then grip the old wire between the tailgate and the bed and pull the plug out of the TG hole. Untie the wire and feed the plug down through the bed hole. When under the truck, gently pull the old wire out of the zip ties (cut the old ties if needed).

My backup camera was very cloudy, seems to be a common issue. Fitted this in about 15minutes, very easy to install. Picture is crystal clear again.
