The Automatic Transmission Filter Wrench/Tool | Fits Allison External Spin On | Removes Filters/Fits: ACDelco TF950 | Allison 29539579 Broke on first use. Went to loosen the transmission filter and the tool broke at the weld. Highly recommend NOT ordering this tool unless you have spare time to send it back (within the return window, I did not) So I will have to eat the cost.

This is a transmission spin on filter tool. It will not work on engine oil filters. I have been searching auto parts stores for months to come up with a tool to do the job. I have no trouble removing the old transmission oil filters, but tightening them has been the problem. Used to have to use a big pair of channel lock pliers to tighten the filter.

This filter wrench worked fine on our Motorhome's transmission filter. Don't know why other's said it didn't fit.

I have been searching for this type of filter cap wrench and could not find one at local auto parts stores.ut does fit the allison spin on external filter. It does fit tight. I may try sanding inside the filter wrench where it contacts filter to remove some of the paint on wrench. But if I don't it will still work
