I'm pretty impressed with this device overall. It does follow me all over the kitchen when it's placed on the island and I walk all the way around. It follows back and forth and while I wasn't sprinting to and fro, it did follow me everywhere I went. The only nitpick is that it seems to be a little jerky to start movement if I'm standing still and then start moving. I'd love it to be a little smoother but I'm guessing that kind of constant follow would probably burn through the batteries a lot quicker. I do have an iPhone 14 Pro so it's also possible that the phone is heavier than expected and it might work better with some lighter phones. Maybe that plays into it a bit.I found the remote to be handy to snap photos or videos (selfies) if needed. And the hand gestures to stop tracking in case I wanted to walk out of frame are nice as well. I think it's a cool thing to have on hand for filming yourself doing activities or cooking without having to move the camera all of the time.

I was really hoping that this item would be usable with an iPad but it is not. As far as using it with a phone, it does allow an easy fit with just about any phone in our house. The 'tracking' part can be intermittent at times, and seems to be "distracted" by movement in the background, if someone happens to walk by. This item would be good for a kid playing on YouTube, making videos. But for serious videography? Prolly not so much. But for this price, it does pretty much what it says as long as you are not expecting Paramount quality cinematics.
