Installation was easy, but couldn’t find anywhere what wire to the headlamp assembly was the running / marker light. Wound up having to use a multimeter and found out it was the purple one. The connector to the ground (black) could be a little bigger but seems to be biting fine for now. Overall, looks great, especially with the square body look of the 14’-15’ Silverados. The actual hood deflector was a breeze to put on.

AVS is good stuff. I broke my last on (totally my fault) and did not hesitate to buy another. Fits perfect, everything you need is in the box and is great quality.

Application was easy - took about 15 minutes. Follow the instructions to a T, thoroughly prep the surface area, and make sure that you are test fitting and applying the guard prior to pulling off the backing tape. I used painters tape like others suggested to hold the guard in place on my truck, this worked like a charm. Kept it exactly where it should be, and allowed me to easily remove the backing tape for a final placement.Maybe its because I applied this in the summer heat, but I have had 0 issues several months, several car washes, and MANY long distance highway trips later with this coming off. It is as sturdy as when I applied it. We will see how the western NY winter treats this. Great product so far, just follow the directions and use common sense.Doesn't do much for bugs, you'd need one that stuck up from the hood more - that's not why I purchased it though. I purchased this to protect against rock chips which this does fantastically well.

It tooks me about 20mins to install. Most of the time were measurements. What I didn’t like is you have to put a two metal clips over your the front edge of your hood. They give you a thick piece of rubber tape. So the metal doesn’t scratch the paint. But this is all how good you can measure. I was off by like hair. So I had to take the tape off and try again. But the tape seemed to lose some glue. The old saying measure twice cut once comes to mind. I also did it by myself, it’s definitely manageable, but another hand would of made it a lot easier. As for deflecting the bugs, I still get some windshield splatter. But not as bad without it. Probably knocks off 75% of all the extra bug goo on your windshield. Plus it looks pretty sharp! I would recommend it.

Product looks great on truck. Mine has been on for a year and the tape is beginning to fail. Like most people on here, the tape will fail on the highway when you can’t pull over easily and creates a dangerous situation to other drivers when the thing blows off. In all honesty, surprised this company has not gone belly up with potential law suits from this product. Waited to write a review to give it time in the hot Carolina sun. My original concerns were confirmed. No matter how you prep the hood, the tape will eventually fail. Thought maybe they had some new aged adhesive but not the case. Anyone living in the South knows the sun will destroy or break down most things eventually. They would do them selves a service to create same type of shield that could be screwed on. Do not waste time or money.

Great look on my 2014 Silverado. All installation parts are included in the package. It would be easier to install with a 2nd pair of hands momentarily available to you to hold it while you check if its centered properly. I did it without assistance because I wanted to see it on the truck right now. Everything turned out great. Just take your time and follow the directions if you haven't installed one before. There are some good YouTube installation videos for the Bugflector II out there.I did not deduct a star, but be aware that the Bugflector II is not double boxed for shipping. The product is nicely wrapped in a heavy protective shrinkwrap inside the box, but the box itself is pretty flimsy for cross-country shipping. A couple of styrofoam inserts in the box would improve things greatly. I had to reject the first one, the box looked like it had been run over by a truck and the Bugflector had been bent so much there was a light grey streak right in the middle where the material had been stressed. Impressive though that it didn't break! I was struck by the warehouse gremlins I guess. Fortunately, this is not an issue when shopping on Amazon. I am very pleased with the quality of the product and I will still give it 5 stars.

Perfect fit on my new 2015 Silverado LTZ crew cab. Need to follow the instructions very carefully and would highly recommend to get a "grease pencil" (called for in the instructions!) or something similar prior to installing. You have to "mark" key spots on your hood for proper alignment and metal clip location. This is all being done to be sure you get it properly "centered". Metal clips are used to hold down the corners of the shield. There are rubber "bumpers" provided to also install on the corners, directly on the hood.It took me about 1/2 hour to complete this installation. Please know I'm an engineer, so maybe a bit "anal" in my prep work, but I do believe in "measuring twice, installing right once"! Once you pull the tape that exposes the adhesive strips and press the center of this shield to your hood, it's not going anywhere!Once installed, it has a very low profile and looks outstanding for those of us that see the benefit of this type of shield for our trucks!
