This Bushwacker Hood Guard is nice. Not the Lexan 'smoke' type, but black textured hard plastic that perfectly matches the front fenders on the Jeep JK. Prety simple to install as long as you take your time. Clean the area where the 3M tape is going to stick with 90% Isopropyl Alcohol, Denatured Alcohol, or the supplied alcohol wipes. Test fit the hood guard and mark the center and ends with blue painters' tape, so you know where to line up the hood guard once you remove the red tape backing. Just get the tape backing stared to expose a little bit of the sticky side. Once you get the hood guard where you want it, press down to hold it in place then remove the rest of the red backing and press down firmly. Easy peasy.

Based on the description I thought I was getting a screw-clip system with 3M to install from under the hood like other guards but it was all 3M. I wanted the screw-clip so I don't have to use 3M on top of the hood in case I changed my mind later or wanted to replace it. Install was fairly easy as long as you mark the placement before you stick it on the hood. The look is great! best one I seen on amazon that's why I decided to keep it.

Matches other trim color and texture perfectly. It’s thick and rugged. I used a heat gun to warm the tape before applying to the hood, and it’s held on flawlessly; even in negative temps.

Looks awesome. Exactly what I needed to cover a ding and rock chips in my hood. My only complaint is the burs I had to shave off before installing. Not a big deal, but quality control should have caught this. Definitely recommend!

Went on super easy. So far sticks great, will see what highway and weather driving do to it.Seems solid and looks really nice - low profile. Hope it does the job.Update: 5 months later this thing is going strong. Been on many a road trip and through many car washes - still stuck on like the day I got it.
