So, the first thing I tried to do with this carabiner was to open it with one hand. And yes. It can be done.I tried to hold the carabiner like the actor in the photo.But there is no way to open and hold this thing like in the photo.I found my own way of opening and holding the carabiner.I do not know if my carabiner is malfunctioning or notThere seem to be two open positions.When turning the knurled part, you will feel a stop.The carabiner will open, but not to its full capacity.I tried turning the knurled handle past this stopping point in one movement to see if that made a difference.Sometimes, the carabiner opened fully.Other times. It did not.I added a little oil to the carabiner. It did not make a difference.In either case, I am okay with both operations.What I Like About This Carabiner • This tool is solid and well-made. • One-hand operation and auto-locking work well. • The weight-holding capacity is great. • Its weight is good. Not too heavy or light. • And the price is reasonable.

This is definitely a heavy-duty carabiner. It feels very solidly built and you can feel how hefty it is. It has a spring-loaded locking and unlocking mechanism which functions smoothly and easily without any issues. The weight rating is stamped on the side, but I don't intend on trying to test the theory of how close I can get to the max weight.Because of it's weight, it's probably best for automotive or garage applications when you aren't worried about how much weight you have. I don't foresee using this for backpacking or rucking because of the weight, but I feel confident that it'll be well-used in my garage. Overall I'd say this is a very solidly designed and built carabiner and a good value for the money.

So this is a HEAVY DUTY carabeaner that you will not worry about. It's solid, and I've seen climbing setups using a beaner like this for connecting things, and I think that would be ideal application for this. It's heavier than other beaners I have on my tree climbing rig for saddle hunting, but this locking mechanism is so clean & fast I'm thinking the extra weight may be worth overlooking. There is total fidget factor when it's sitting in your hand, making one handed use very convenient. Price is good, and I can see this being easily a speedy design regardless of the weight.

I recently selected the Auto Locking Carabiner which truly is a Heavy Duty Large Clip. I'm incredibly impressed with its performance and versatility. This carabiner is built like a tank, offering a sense of security that's crucial for any activity involving load-bearing. For the price, it seems like an excellent value.It has Strength and Durability. The 45KN rating is no joke! It feels incredibly robust and reliable, giving me confidence when using it for hauling heavy loads, securing equipment, and even for pet care. The sheer strength makes it ideal for rock climbing, rescue operations, and any situation requiring a heavy-duty clip. Towing, containment, etc. has been successful with this clip.Twist Lock Feature: The twist lock mechanism is fantastic. This is the beefiest carabiner I have ever seen. Very strong. The opening mechanism is spring-loaded 2 ways. You have to twist the spring-loaded knurled ring to unlock it, then to open it you press against a second spring, while keeping the knurled ring from rebounding. It’s easier than it sounds, although the springs have some robustness to them. It weighs over a half-pound (9.9 oz to be exact). You are probably not going to be bringing this backpacking due to its weight. Vehicle camping, DIY projects, boating, gyms, construction/renovation, moving, suspended heavy items (rating is 6,500 pounds, you could hang my truck from this!) etc are where it can find a home. Finish seems to be painted, material is stated on the webpage as stainless steel. The rating is stamped onto the body. I do recommend this, for applications where its weight is not a consideration.

Wow, is this thing heavy duty. And heavy -- this is steel, and its weight speaks to its strength. I don't use these for climbing due to their weight (though they'd certainly be strong enough), but for hauling and weight-bearing activities on the farmstead. These are great for hitching the draft horse to a tree stump we're uprooting, hanging a deer -- even to haul a car out of a ditch. These are also great for setting up sections of my obstacle course.Nice strong carabiner, easy to open, self locking. Super functional.
