I bought this can opener with great hopes that it would work well given that I have rheumatoid arthritis. The first can I opened, came out completely mangled and was only partially cut open. It took a great deal of effort to remove the can opener from the can after it jammed, but continued to keep running. I quite literally had to throw away my can of chili because it left metal shards inside of the product. This is a horrible can opener and did not even do the basic as far as cutting open a can.. what are you talking about?

Doesn't turn off. As soon. As you put the batteries the device turns on and Doesn't turn off. Black button doesn't work! Waste of time and money.
