Although I purchased this thread last July, it was neatly covered with shrink wrap and I made the mistake of leaving that on until I finally needed to use the thread today. Imagine my surprise upon discovering a mass of cut thread ends sticking out of the top of the spool. It appears that I’m going to be coming to very many breaks in the thread when I reach those areas. It’s far too late to return the thread now. Aurifil is too pricy for customers to accept such poor quality.
