Either I got one heck of a flawed unit or it’s horrifically designed! As soon as removed it from the box, attached the antennas and turned it on, TWO of my nicest stereos came to life, showing Bluetooth enabled! What? There was loud popping and crazy noise coming from them both! Turned the ATS25 off and it stopped, then turned it back on and the same thing all over again. Again I turned off the ATS25, unplugged the stereos, then turned the ATS25 back on and all sorts of LOUD POPPING came out of its speaker. This is going back! Any device than can trigger a couple of Bluetooth stereos on just by itself is seriously flawed! IMHO as a ham radio operator for 50 years, this thing is junk. There I said it, JUNK!

lt generally works very good. The setup in the menus can be a bit disconcerting. You should know something about your region and your band set up for broadcast. It comes set up for European or itu1 frequencies. One must change the menu to itu2 for North American bands. The FM in the menu setup should be changed from 64 MHz to 88 MHz. I'm still learning but I am surprised at how well this little box receives. Going to try to figure out the digital reception next.Quick taps on the main control will select between volume, another volume which is actually AGC and squelch. It's kind of confusing at first. A long push on the main control puts it in scan which is still kind of confusing to me.Sensitivity and selectivity seem to be surprisingly good. Audio quality on FM is maybe acceptable. But I admit for the price I will consider it a pretty decent radio!

Need to have an additional external antenna and you’ll need a bnc adapter to your antenna. Going to try it with a small indoor loop.

Obviously portable and off grid use. Still learning the ins-and-outs of the radio, the manual was for an older version of firmware. There's a lot of capability in this little rig! Nice sturdy construction, looks to last for many years to come.

So far this little gem is running right out of the box. I looked over the directions and had to figure out some of the features on my own but the reception is very good even inside. The sound quality is very good as well. This is going with my Ham outings and with me when I go out of town to have something to listen to.

I used this for about 2 weeks and while it was (really) fun to explore and tinker, I could never get the thing to actually receive anything. The little expandable antenna is obviously not ideal, so I hooked it up to an out door and antenna and did not see any change. In the RTTY digital mode it would receive some text, but it was all gibberish and constant meaning it was probably just picking up static as a transmission. It could have been me, it could have been my location, but definitely a meh and for the cost, you can find something better!
