How to Use:
REMOVE: Drill out the damaged thread using the correctly sized twist drill bit provided.
TAPPING: Tap drilled hole using screw tap provided.
INSTALL THE INSERT: Load thread insert into installation tool.
SCREW IN: Screw insert into threaded hole.
TANG REMOVAL: Remove the tang from the insert using the breaking pin tool.
DONE: Thread is repaired and ready to use.

So far I have only used this kit to insert a M10 coil. The M10 drill bit would just spin on the bolt hole in the suspension I was trying to repair. I had to go buy a drill bit of matching size. With the purchased drill bit I had the job done in a few minutes. The rest of the M10 accessories worked as intended. The coil is holding well so far. The metal case is nice to keep things organized.

The price was great. Everything went smooth once I found the tool needed to turn the tap from an old tap & die set I had from harbor freight. When it arrived the metal case had a busted pop rivet so I installed a new one in it's place. Opens fine now.

I have always been afraid to fix a worn out threaded hole but I felt brave this week. I ordered this kit and watched a video on how to use it. When it arrived I followed the directions and now I have a new fairing kit on my motorcycle! Boom!

There is a size I’ve ordered multiple times using on lawnmowers and a few places on older vehicles i tinker on, but working on older vehicles I’ve found myself using more sizes and this set seems to have a good choice of sizes.
