I have the real one, and I got this because I wanted something cheap and safe to practice on. What's crazy is the recoil is almost like my real one, but since it's a 22 that's not so surprising. The switch on the slide is just for looks though, it doesn't do anything.Be careful when you put CO2 in. You gotta tightening it down until it stops hissing, or else it'll leak. It took me a couple cartridges to figure it out, but at least those were cheap. Doesn't come with CO2 or BBs though so make sure to buy some when you order.

When I first opened the box containing the ASG ISSC M22 .177 Caliber Steel BB Gun Air Pistol I was amazed at the realistic look and feel. The weight and balance is very similar to my 9mm S&W. It even has an equipment rail just like the S&W. I mounted a laser/light combo forward of the trigger guard.. Installing the CO2 cylinder was a breeze, but inserting the BB's one-by-one was tedious for me. My first shots were at a soup can at a distance of 10m (30 ft.) which penetrated the first side and made a significant dent on the opposite side. Moving closer to 15 ft. resulted in a shot that penetrated both sides of the can. The iron sights seemed accurate, but at 30 feet the shot has begun to drop about 1 inch. The trigger action is smooth and realistic. There is a slide lock and a safety, however the safety can only be activated with the included tool. The Co2 gas cylinder is good for about 30 to 40 shots before losing significant power. I gave the product 4 stars because the magazine is so difficult to load and holds only 18 BB's.
