They are so fast in the water and easy to maneuver. Deep sit in makes it feel comfortable and spacious. Not the most sturdy but it’s easy enough to adjust body weight to ensure no tipping. Highly recommend.

I bought this kayak mainly because it stated it had adjustable foot braces. I have had this manufacturer 10 foot kayak and it does have the adjustable foot rest. I needed a smaller and lighter one and when I saw their 8 footer with the foot braces I ordered it even though I could find less expensive units. Not only does it not have adjustable foot braces but there are none at all.I will probably return it due to the mid information stated in the features comments.

This is a great little kayak. Perfect for the many rivers, canals, and waterways along the Florida Gulf Coast where we live. It's smaller size makes it easy to transport in our vehicle, eliminating the need to lift it up onto a roof rack. Great value.

the purpose of this purchase was to allow me the ability to load and unload my kayak without assistance. The Sun Dolphin fit this requirement perfectly. So its not the same as our other kayaks but I knew that going in. Some of edges were a bit rough but I sanded those and now its fine. Considering the cost I believe i have a very good value. Is it perfect and strong as a $700 kayak? No but your not spending $700.

Perfect first kayak! I tried one of these last summer with a friend and fell in love with how easy it was to handle by myself. Super easy to get in and out of the bed of my truck, which is a huge plus. Nicely built and fairly comfortable (we were out for about 3 hours). May end up buying a second one so that I can have a spare if family or friends ever want to go kayaking with me.

Were it possible to award zero stars I would do so. This kayak is useless for two reasons 1) The sides are too high making paddling awkward and 2) the kayak is unstable and feels as though tipping over into the water is a distinct possibility. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!

The main positive I find with this 8' kayak is it's lighter weight compared to my 9 1/2 foot kayak. On the downside, for myself, I do not find the seating all that comfortable, and so far have not been able to find a way--with cushion or such--to make it so. But possibly for a child, or someone with different build it might be fine. I am on the tallish (for a woman) and thin side, and also have back issues. Also, since I didn't use the footrests all the time in my other kayak, I thought I wouldn't miss them in this kayak, but I do. The kayak is plenty roomy in terms of cockpit size, and seating. Also plenty of leg room, but when stretching out my legs, the front of the kayak starts curving in a bit, and that is where I could use the footrests for a bit of bracing. The material of the kayak seems sturdy, comparable to my larger kayak. The color is attractive, The boat brand and name and other markings are a bit " rinkydink" appearing in that they are applied by decal. This boat appears stable in general, but when leaning forward, becomes somewhat tippy, so depends if that is something you are wanting or not.
