Good quality for it's price. The only issue I have is that it is never compatible with any wireless transmitters. For most of my shoots that is not a problem, since I am a solo filmmaker, but any time when I go to a bigger set I struggle because I can't send the feed to a director's monitor. This means often I have to borrow an alternative or plug the transmitter to my camera first and then from the output of the transmitter I plug in the monitor - which might cost me some image quality. But overall the product is pretty good.

These budget monitors have really been surprising me with the quality for the price you pay. This monitor is not the thinnest or have the fanciest tools, but it has a solid screen that is easily daylight viewable, and is plenty sharp for working with 4K video. I have it attached to my FX3 and focusing with it works fine. Menu system is easy to use and snappy along with the touch functionality. Comes a few different accessories, sun hood, HDMI to micro HDMI cable and monitor mount. Sun hood is usable, but is a pain to take on and off and keep in your bag, so if you take off the frame for it, it helps slim down the monitor a decent amount.A nice touch is the functionality in the menu for flipping and mirroring the video image all with the touch of a button. This helps speed up my workflow when attaching this monitor to my Ronin. Not a ton of time, but it’s the little things. ☺️

Andycine have made a nice monitor with the A6 II, I confess to watching a couple of reviews on this and another 5.5" monitor on youtube, both are equally capable, but the Andycine 'won' in having 1600 NITS brightness.I like most things about it - so let's start with the positives...As above - it is very bright, without washing out on higher levels, has good contrast and I was able to see the picture clearly with bright UK Winter sunlight - good enough - possibly with high Summer light the (included) hood might prolong its usefulness. With the supplied battery it weighs around 380g - the bracket adds another 80g and the hood another 25g, so not particularly cumbersome. The provided NP-F330 battery has a USB C charging port, rated 2A @5V and 28 Watt Hours capacity, so should take around 3 hours to recharge from flat. I can't comment on battery life accurately as the longest walk with the monitor operating was around 40 minutes and I forgot to note the remaining capacity. There is a 50 cm micro HDMI to HDMI cable provided, quite flexible, but too short for me to use on my gimbal although perfectly adequate if the monitor was mounted on the flash shoe of the camera. There are 4 LUTs pre-installed and further ones may be loaded from a pen drive - there is an included USB A socket to USB C plug adaptor, so no problem if only 'old' pen drives are to hand. (nice touch!)The monitor arrives in a hardened, zipped carry case, a large compartment with elastic strap for the monitor, the lid having a zipped 'pocket' for cables, bracket, battery etc. It has a carry handle, just in case.A 30 cm USB A to C cable is provided for charging the battery. The monitor can also be powered from a 5v power bank via USB C or from an external 12v source with a suitable cable (not provided). The user manual is quite comprehensive and well illustrated.OK - so what didn't I like? The mounting bracket... It has 2 small lugs that engage on the body of the monitor (to stop it rotating) so some care has to be taken that they engage correctly - I found it a bit 'fiddly' to both hold the bracket in place and screw the arm in place - but, in fairness, the threads are new and may ease over time. The cold shoe mount is attached to the bracket with a hex screw - mine arrived slightly loose and there is no tool provided to tighten it. Fortunately I do have a heap of hex keys and was able to tighten it back up securely. Just something to be aware of.Yes, I think it is a good & useful monitor - the inclusion of a battery is sensible, although I assume any serious videographer may already have a collection of higher capacity batteries - which I am not...

I own about a half-dozen field monitors at this point, and this unit (and the other identical units that exist under different brand names) is my absolute favorite for my Sony FX3 cinema rig. This is the one that I take out on every shoot. The fact that you can get a monitor that is this bright, with intuitive controls and useful additional features for no more than this costs is absolutely wild.In side-by-side tests, this monitor is significantly brighter than any other monitor I own, and remains visible outdoors in everything short of direct sun glare. The supplied sun-shade comes pre-installed with hook-and-loop edges, and works well. The included case packs everything in (including a small coiled HDMI cable and dummy battery cable) for modular inclusion in my video kit.The buttons are smartly placed and well-labeled. The menu system is straightforward and intuitive. Being able to adjust both the volume or brightness up and down with the flick of a finger is genius. This thing has some great features on-board. The LUT overlay is a huge help when shooting S-LOG footage, and the included charts/graphs/readouts make up for some flat spots in terms of what my camera offers. It even has features that are too advanced for my workflow, but that seasoned pros would likely make use of and appreciate. It's dead quiet, contributing no noise to even a very sensitive omni camera mic mounted directly next to it. I've run this monitor hard on blisteringly hot summer days in the sun, with no issues. If you need a monitor for your camera (especially your Sony mirrorless or FX3/FX30), AND you won't miss the external recording features offered by some other higher-end monitors, this is a great choice.Note: This same unit appears to be available under different brand names, I myself have another one from a different brand that is identical in every way that I can determine. The "4K High Bright" marking in the upper left-hand corner, as well as the advertised 1600 nits brightness are what ID's this particular model, regardless of brand.

The ANDYCINE A6 II 5.5 Inch Touchscreen DLSR Camera Video is fairly versatile and comes with everything you need, depending on what you need. Depending on your camera HDMI output, you may need to buy an additional cable before use. It would be wise to know what your needs are to order a suitable cable, if the supplied one doesn’t fit your needs. The screen display is bright and large. It’s light as is the bracket that can attach to your camera’s hot shoe or other accessory. It does have several options for mounting it.My camera has a mini HDMI output and not a regular sized one or micro. That resulted in a delay in using this until I could get a cable to hook it up.Check the image of the cable and your own camera to make sure you have the correct one. If they’ve gone to the trouble to include all these other accessories, it looks like they could have included an adapter for different sized HDMI even if that added a couple of bucks to the price. It’s far more disappointing to have something like this that you want to use but can’t because you don’t have the proper cable or adapter. This is light and has an included rechargeable battery that can be recharged on the fly. It comes with a nice little hard case that will be very helpful in protecting it from drops, shocks and mishandling. This is very adaptable. Not only can you mount it on your camera but if you wanted with a longer HDMI cable, you could use this as a remote monitor set up.I did connect it with a cable that did not come with the set and while it worked, the cable was not coiled. I was very conscious that I might accidentally hit the cable and damage my camera. You may not use this on every shot but it can quickly become something you rely on in the studio, with or without the touch screen.
