poor controller needed a update these clear thumbsticks worked wonders! nice quality i just wish they were more clear

The grips work great but for the first few months of use there was a slight grabbing/ would catch slightly. It almost never affected gameplay.

I got these to replace my aging/falling apart pink thumbsticks on my custom controller. The pink is a little lighter than the Microsoft ones which have a nicer, deeper pink. It's pretty close, but not quite there. Also the molding themes on the right thumbstick especially are very visible and pretty bad. Thankfully I can't really feel it with my calloused thumbs. I will say that the micronubbin grip on the edge of the thumbsticks is really good. Though that might just be because I've been playing with worn down, completely smooth edged thumbsticks for the past year or two.Update 06/28/2024:Dropping from 3 to 4 stars because they wore out super super quick. Found some OEM pink thumbsticks for a bit more $$$ and they're lightyears ahead in quality. Look elsewhere.

When it said "rubber cover" I took that to mean it was just the caps which might be a bit silly. In fact it's the entire joystick and they're a little smaller than the originals. Not uncomfortable when I just tried them for a few minutes but any marathon gaming session will probably get that way.

I know, that makes the repair about $22, but you get new thumbsticks and a toolset you can use again if you want (or need) to take the controller apart again. If you can't afford that set, you need at least a T8 Security driver to remove the 5 screws (which you can get for about $4 alone). I like the set because if you get into needing to repair the headphone jack (common) or completely replace the analog stick, you'll need other sizes to dig deeper. This set also comes with a decent opening tool. My son got a Purple Fortnite Xbox One S for his birthday and he LOVES it. The color is sweet and different. Fast forward a few weeks and he gets invited to a neighbor's house to play Madden and he proudly takes his controller over so they can compete. On the way back, the controller slips out of his hands and bounces across the pavement. Devastated, he brought it to me and showed me that it was scratched up (he was okay with that) and BOTH thumbsticks were torn across the top. It made the controller very difficult to use, but to his credit he didn't complain after that because we looked into Microsoft repair and that was insanely priced... Damaged thumbsticks aren't covered under the warranty. =/I decided to replace them myself since he's an amazing son and searched for awhile. Unfortunately, I kept finding black thumbsticks... which do not match! (I know... OCD). I eventually ran across these clear purple and took a chance (with Prime, I got them shipped in 2 days and a great return policy).I was so thankful to find they match PERFECTLY. The only difference is they are clear purple at the base, not solid... and in my honest opinion they look BETTER than the originals. I do think the solid purple would also look good, but the clear ones are just sweet.As an added bonus, my son said they are softer and more "grippy" than the originals (which his fingers would occasionally slip off of). These replacement sticks for the Xbox one x controller and nearlly orinigals in build quality and design. The knurling around the cap is great and replacement took 5 minutes with a plastic spudger and T8 torx bit. Would highly recommend and will be buying many sets for spares!
