I purchased two sets of skates - one for each of my granddaughters, ages 7 and 8. They love them. The skates are leather, professional skates, that are for learning how to skate. Their teacher was extremely pleased that they had theses skates because they can't be taught how to skate correctly in 'kiddy' skates (which I initially purchased 4 months prior). They do have guards on the skates (but because I didn't know this, I purchased a set of "fuzzy guards" to cover the blades. I am very happy with the price, the look, the feel and that they are leather, not plastic.

Got these for my neice. Fit great. Kind of thin so I got her some little ankle pads as well and no complaints from her:) She's having a blast on them and the price is right since her feet will grow quickly. Can afford to keep getting her new pairs as she grows.

These are great leather skates. They are stuffed (which is great for kids) and have great ankle support.I bought for me, as well same skates for women (they are nit stuffed which is great, just pure leather). For kids size we needed to change for bigger size then shoe size, and they are just great ( have one cm more so there is enough room for next year maybe).Great skates!

The skates are very nice looking, a bit hard but do have a thin cushion lining. After looking at the sellers size chart and reviews, I purchased one size up. My daughter is 10 years old and wears a size 1. I purchased size 2. I figured, no problem, I will return and repurchase size 3, or maybe even 4 since she will want to wear thick socks. I go to do the return and there is a return fee of $10. I think that Amazon should have the sellers state the return fee in the listing so buyers are aware. Especially when it comes to clothes and shoes since we obviously are not able to try before buy. I have messaged the seller and hope to be able to do an exchange. I will update review depending on the customer service experience. I really was hoping to have these by Christmas but with my budget, I can’t afford the $10 return plus purchasing the new pair and not being reimbursed for the pair I’m returning until 2-3 days after they receive it.Update: the seller was responsive and resolved my issue quickly and sent out the new skates right away and I already received them. Just keep in mind that these run small and if you need to return due to this, contact the seller, they were polite and helpful.

Does the job for a casual skater and good value for money. However not good for figure lessons as teacher said there wasn’t enough ankle support for turning.

I use to compete when I was a child and for 30$ this is a great deal ppl, nice skates would usually run at least $150 so anyone who complains about these when they only spent $30 needs to seriously re-evaluate their review! You get what you pay for and these are seriously intro skates that’s all.As for being intro skates only,,, my 5 year old is having a blast in them and they are way better quality then renting from the rental shop. Plus you make your money back in like 5 trips to the rink so yay. Next year I’ll be buying my daughter some nicer boots/blades but for right now. I’m super happy I got her these for only $30 bucks! THANK YOU 😆

Ordered these skates for my 7.5 year old daughter to skate with her mother on rainy days this summer. Skate does fit well and looks nice on her foot, but that’s the best that I can offer. Exactly 6 weeks after ordering and just after they could no longer be returned, these things are falling apart. First after a couple of hours on the ice I had to have the skates sharpened for a 2nd time. And we are talking about a 45lb beginnner not an established hockey player. Can’t believe the metal blade can’t hold the edge for longer than that. How cheap/soft is this metal? Now the grommet on the next to last lace has fallen off and I expect that the vacated hole in the leather will soon rip making these skates unable to be properly tightened around her ankles and therefore largely useless. Thought that these things would at least hold up for 10-12 hours of infrequent skating or until her foot outgrew them, but I guess I was wrong. Too bad as they are nice looking and fitting skates and my daughter does love them.

Pleasantly surprised that these slightly worn skates look brand new! Also well padded around the interior ankle making them very comfortable. I purchased a size 1 for my daughter who wears a size 13/1 shoe. There is room for a pair of thicker ski socks with comfort so these do fit smaller than other girls skates( we usually have to size down by one shoe size).

My daughter was taking weekly skating lessons, and finally reached the stage where she wanted her own skates. Not knowing anything about ice skates, I assumed I could buy the cheapest skates I found on Amazon with the best reviews. Anything will be better than the rentals, right? Wrong. After her lesson, the instructor came over and showed me how the side of the skate caved in. She called it a "pond skate", basically only good for going in circles around the rink. For a lot of people, this will be fine. My daughter did think it was comfortable and was upset when we had to get rid of it. But for the skaters who are taking lessons, they will be learning more advanced moves, and their ankles need stiff support. This skate just wasn't meant for it, so if you try to save money, you will wind up paying more in the long run.

My almost 8 year old daughter went to a birthday party at the ice rink in February 2014. She loved skating and started asking me to take her ever day. I bought these skates for her a week or two later because I was paying over $3 each time to rent skates. She started taking skating school classes in April with these skates. In August, she started private lessons. She didn't have to get new skates until October, before she started learning the waltz jump. They were over $200! These skates are VERY much for beginners. They're good for learning to stay up and move on the ice. They were cheap and served their purpose. She's now skating in competitions and on a synchro team. These skates were a great intro skate to make sure she really liked the sport. They are not good once the skater starts learning any actual elements like jumping or spinning because they don't provide enough ankle support. I even bought these for my two year old too.
