The Amana Tool 45366 Carbide Flush Trim Plunge Bit is built like a Tank! The Durability of the Heavy Carbide Tips on this Bit are Amazing. While I could easy use the Amana Tool's Bit in a Router, I am using it in my Rockwell Shaper, the Bearings in the Amana Tool's Bit are well protected, I have had no issues with them Fouling, Grabbing, or Biting into the Material. I am very happy with the Durability & Quality of the Amana Tool 45366 Carbide Flush Trim Bit, Honestly I would order a second Amana Tool's 45366 Bit if needed in a New York Minute. I gave the Amana Tool's 45366 Router Bit a Full Five Stars Across the Board. It is Reliable, Affordable, Old School Tough, Durable, and Produces a Picture Perfect Finish to name a few of them.

I have a few Amana tool router bits and they have all head up well and edges stay nice and sharp even on knots. I typically route wet pressure treated and it requires bits with sharp blades and these handles it fine. Good quality bearings as normal too.

I honestly cannot think nor am I aware of a higher quality router bit than those produced by Amana. I'll certainly concur they are not the least expensive, but there is a reason why professional wookworking shops around the world use these high quality router bits.Amana bits are not often found at the usual lumber supply stores or home woodworking supply stores, but when you step into the world of precision pattern and tool making, Amana is king.I've used Amana bits for years whilst making master bucks (molds) for thermoforming as their offering of shapes, sizes, tapers and unique configurations can suit almost any custom need. Their carbide is extremely strong and also sharpened to a razor's edge and when used as designed, they stay sharp and provide years of excellent service.Large router bits are honestly intimidating and must never be used by anyone without proper training and experience, well, I guess the same goes for any router bit, but when large bits get up to speed, they're something to seriously respect. Because of this, it's always imperative to purchase the highest quality bits which you know 100% are precision ground, leave perfect edges and will not break, chip, or throw a soldered on carbide insert at 10,000 to 15,000 RPM's. Yes, safety counts on the router table, much like molding and shaper dies, dependability is crucial.Amana has never let me down and the edges are pure perfections, especially when compared to lower quality bits. The bearing systems in these bits are highly precise and last a very long time. I've never experienced any burn outs or failures with Amana bearings and I'm quite sure that most woodworkers and pattern makers will concur. They're simply wonderful tools and certainly make a difficult job much more efficient and easier to complete. The right tool for the job can be an absolute godsend so to Amana I say thanks.Use these bits precisely as listed on their design and specification instructions and you'll have a tool that will increase your shop's efficiency and allow you to turn out your very best work. Many patterns, tools and projects will outlive us and knowing a person in your trade will look at your work and be impressed means a great deal. Amana bits will help bring your work to a new level of finished perfection.

So this is a large, SOLID, flush trim bit. Amana is as good as it gets in quality. So this is definitely a you get what you pay for situation. We use these for trimming butcher block counters to patterns. Cuts like butter in a single pass with a 5hp router. Im assuming if you are even looking at this bit you know what you are doing. Its worth the money.

This Amana router bit is very nice. It has a 2" cutting height and 3/4" diameter on a 1/2" shank. There are 2 bearings at the top of the bit which gives a better engagement with the template guide. Very sharp, very smooth and balanced bit. Amana bits are generally not "cheap", but are not super high priced either. You get a solid performing tool usually, and I mean industrial-performance tools in the realm of cutting high density foams and panel products like melamine/particle board. Definitely a nice tool here.

One can tell the quality of this bit just by removing its protective coating. The bit is very sharp. It is well made which is exactly what Amana is known for. The cutting length is 2" so you can use it for template routing on 5/4 and 6/4 material without a problem. Now time to make some sawdust!

Quite a solid chunk of hardware. I ordered this because I'm a DIY junkie and even though I had no specific purpose in mind presently, I know in time this will service my purpose well. I recently completed a project where I could have used it. The fact it has the roller bearing above the cutter instead of below can be a very useful feature.

Great bit for using with templates. Easily plunge cuts into wood, plywood etc. Double flute cuts cleanly and quickly. Bearing rotates smoothly with no binding.
