Bend the hinge tabs inward on either side of the hinge to secure the cover.

Was leary about the vent cap at first but when I got it it was definitely the right decision. It's heavy duty and not flemsey at all and only took about 5 minutes to install. Definitely worth the money with 2 to 3 days delivery time I'm impressed. It was the perfect size for what I was needing.

We ordered this to replace the old plastic cover on our 2011 Heartland MPG 183. It was the perfect fit, it installed simply, and is much more sturdy than the old plastic one. I would guess we'll be enjoying having no problems with this one for years.

I almost cheaped out and got plastic like the original but this will be the last cover you need - heavy duty and high quality painted aluminum. Clear instructions with pictures written in real english, and a good video make replacing your old cover a breeze. Would be just great if they included a new screen because what I found is that once your plastic lid starts going, at least in my case, my screen was crazy brittle and I tore it several times just taking it out and putting it back. Mine is a vertical install on a shed so maybe not as much of a problem in an RV install, but it would have been great to have a screen.

This was a needed item, ours had just started cracking and getting brittle, so this came up just in time. It came well packed in a box, nice and snug. Unpacked it, and it was an absolutely perfect replacement for what came off the RV.The materials are nice and sturdy feeling, I have no doubts this will last years. Where we live is a high sun area, and anything on a roof takes a beating from the sun. If the materials on this are sub par, we'll know soon enough. For now, I'm super happy with this item, it looks perfect!
