Some of these don’t fit a hot shoe securely. THIS one does. It adds quite a bit of stability to your grip on the camera body. Of course it DOES occupy the hot shoe, and so if you use a flash or video onboard light, you can’t use this too, but it is very tiny and easily stowed. I do wish they made one with a SECOND cold shoe (or even a hot shoe?) piggy-backing on top of this one’s shoe, but that’s the Product Designer in me talking. Maybe I’ll go machine one.

Fits my A7C perfect and does add a nice balance to the body. I wear mens glove size XL and this helped me get a better grip on my Son.yIt does block the AF wheel a little but not enough to bother. You get used to it quickly.

It says it fits a Song a7cii… but it doesn’t close all the way. And the thumb rest covers my dial. I love the red it’s sick, but I would like it more if it fit.

UPDATE: Originally gave it 3 stars based on my initial review, but the company was kind enough to reach out and provide a refund. Added an extra star for the great customer service. See my initial review below.Picked this up for my new Sony A7CR. It comes in a plastic bag, nothing that would really keep it protected during shipping. As soon as I took it out of the bag I noticed there was a smear on the thumb grip part (see photo). Its almost as if someone accidentally touched it before the paint was done drying. For $11 I don't expect much, but I don't expect new things to look like they would after a year of heavy use. I'll be on the lookout for another thumb grip.
