Had to return. I had ordered the Dusty Olive color and recieved some sky blue shoes? They were returned. Altras are great,but my husband would never wear those. (The box stated they were Dusty Olive, it just not what was shipped.)

Bought these a couple weeks ago and have since ran about 100 miles of all types of trails. Fire roads, gravel, mud, multiple creek crossings and so far these shoes have performed great.The shoes dry out quickly after going through water.My newer Hokas seem to be running a tad narrow, these fit just right. Not too wide, not too narrow.Overall I was skeptical buying these because the old school Altras were sloppy on my feet, but after wearing them this past two weeks, I love them.Worth a try in my opinion, great shoes.

The plastic covering bit at the front started peeling off after less than a month of light use, so the adhesive used clearly wasn't very good. It's comfortable to wear and walk around in though, and the treads of the the sole (the Vibram parts) seems durable, although the actual sole itself is made of some type of light foam material, so I don't think that will last long. It's also somewhat waterproof under drizzle/light rain conditions, although not in heavy rain.

This is my third pair of Timps. I even hiked/ran Mt Timp in Utah in these.I have two pair of this generation and rotate them out.Last week I ran a trail 100k race and didn’t even feel the need to change into the other pair. Zero blisters and zero problems. Good shoe!

My husband was extremely excited to try these because he’s a big fan of the Altra brand. He was looking for a replacement for his Hokas for running. The quality, durability and fit of these was great. However, when they arrived, we were surprised to find that the base of the shoe is in fact, a bright blue and not almost white blue. He felt they were a little feminine in terms of the color, and we decided to return and get something different! If anyone is looking for an alternative to the Hoka running shoes, we both think that these would be a great fit. Just be aware of color choices!

I bought these shoes because I’ve read a lot of users comment about how these dry well and if you’re gonna be hiking in a tropical climate, this is what you want.So i bought these for that reason. Although I haven’t taken them on my tropical location trip yet, I have been wearing them for the last few months all over the place to break them in, and they are actually very comfortable just to use day-to-day.I have Size 13 feet and my feet are a little wide, and I don’t have any uncomfortable squeezing at all with these. My feet are very comfortable and I’ve never had any pain while wearing these for entire days.I actually did use these for hiking in Yellowstone in early October and the traction was great. I didn’t have anyslippage.

I'm a trail runner who runs technical (rocky) long trails with lots of elevation. I've owned over 30 pair of Altras. Timps used to be great shoes-zero drop, wide toe box, durable, comfortable. The quality of the shoes, particularly the soles and uppers of the shoes have continued to get worse with each iteration in the last few years. The sole of the Timp 5 is Vibram, which should help, but the toebox is much narrower now, and the upper seperated on the first 15 mile run. I've never had blisters with Timps until now. Sorry, Altra. I'm moving on. It's not me, it's you.

I’ve been barefoot for a few years and have wide feet now. These were not quite wide enough for me in the mid section. Shame as the quality is great and materials are well made too.I had to go for the lone peaks which have the wider toe box as generally are roomier. I’m normally a size 12. In these a 12.5 would be great but they don’t do one.

Lone peak has been my jam for some time. These have more cushion and more support. Wear them as my everyday sneaker.
