It is a little too watery. You will need to re edge your shoes more regularly than I anticipated with this product. It begins rubbing away after a few uses. However, it gets the job done and makes an older pair of shoes look almost new.

This is a simple product. It dresses the heel and the edge of the sole on dress shoes, so they look good if these parts have become discolored with use. The applicator is easy to use, and it's good value for the money. There's not much more to say. It didn't set the shoes on fire, or anything. Buy it.

The blue big box store didn’t have edge dressing. Checked here? Quick delivery. Nice sponge applicator. Did the job and dried nicely.

The product is easy to use and quality. Applying it to my shoes took years off of them, very happy with my purchase, highly recommend this to others- it’s such an easy fix with a noticeable impact.

Wanted to touch up some boots on the heel and around the edges of the soul - worked perfectly!

Exactly what I needed for my allen edmond shoes. Helps bring back the nice edges of your shoes. Be careful when applying. The first time I used it, I pushed a little to hard and it dripped all over my bed. Now I have large stains. Works great, great value. Definitely recommend.

See my pics! Makes your shoe heels and soles look new again, doesn't look "painted on" or unnatural. (Don't put it on the bottom of your shoes, duh......:) (no, I did not) NOTE: Don't press to hard on your initial application, the tip is not very "sponge-like" as you might think of for polish applicators. Light pressing is enough to keep it flowing. Depending on how bad your shoes are, a second coat may be necessary. I'm really into leather and shoe care in my real estate profession; always want to look sharp. I was NOT dissapointed. Thanks for a great product, will definitely order again!

The product description recommends wiping off when wet. When you do you remove the deep black that you want requiring another pass of the product. The pictures speak for itself, now we’ll see how many wears I get out of them. These are Hugo boss shoes btw.

Nice dark black for the shoe edge... Don't know how long it will last though...

The product is very quick/easy to apply without making a mess. It protects the sides of the soles/heels and makes them look like new. I found the brown to be very light and more of a walnut rather than the darker shade of brown shown on the Allen Edmonds website. Most dark brown shoes would require the natural/clear dressing.

I have a few pairs of high-end "casual" leather/suede loafers that have that "combo" leather/rubber sole. I oftentimes find I can polish and recondition the leather, but whenever I try to add a little shine to the black rubber sole, it fades after one or two wears, but it's not worth resoling. After reading numerous reviews for all the products out there, I settled on this edge/heel dressing. I'm not a fan of AE shoes, but I figured I'd give this a shot.During COVID, I didn't want to leave my house to see a cobbler (not to mention my long-term cobbler sadly retired during this challenging year or so), and like many people, I figured I'd do it myself. I found this and it literally brought my soles back to life. It makes a big difference, more than you'd think. It's basically glossy black rubber paint.Tips for use:1. The applicator was easy, not messy at all. Be sure to shake it well, THEN WAIT A MINUTE before you apply it, so you don't end up with little bubbles on your soles.2. If you have a "combo" sole like I did, I recommend using masking tape/painter's tape to protect the "leather" layers/sections of the sole, as you don't want those to become black, obviously.3. If you do make a mess and a couple of drops end up where you don't want, gently wipe off w/a cloth dipped in water ASAP—it will get 80% of the "mess" off.Very happy with this product and the results. If you're less meticulous (OCD, lol) than I am, you might just want to go with "neutral" because it will basically add a glaze to everything, but I really wanted the black rubber to "pop" with the freshly-polished leather, and I am happy to say it now does. :)
