I bought this for lichtenberg woodburning because I have a client who wants this as a finish on a custom bass guitar I'm building for him. I've only done initial tests but I'm pleased with the results so far. I added a set of jumper cable clamps to the leads and clipped some screws into them and I'm using a deadman switch to control it. I've only done a few small practice pieces and this is my first time experimenting with this technique but the initial results are promising.

I use this transformer to do my Lichtenberg Fractal burning. I mounted it to wood with a rubber base, and mount the rubber base to dense anti-conductive rubber casters. I've fitted the leads to copper alligator clamps rated for a much higher amperage, and use those to clamp onto my workpiece. The burn patterns I get with this are very satisfactory. The only thing I dont like for my purpose are the safety features this unit employs. It will stop current if it senses an abnormality. Occasionally I have to turn it off and on again while adding more electrolyte solution to the wood I'm burning, but it works very well. And quickly.

Bought this for Ali the burg wood burning. If you’re looking to do the same, then you’re in luck, it works wonderfully. My only suggestion is that you go ahead and get yourself a Deadman Switch to accompany this and you can thank me later. Messing around with high voltage electricity is dangerous enough, may as well do it as safely as possible

I purchased this transformer to repair a a fairly standard size neon beer sign. It was easy to swap out and made the sign work good as new. No complaints, I would recommend this for any medium size neon sign, simply check the output voltage on the sign you need to repair and as long as it does not exceed 12000v this transformer will work, and will auto adjust to a lower output voltage if necessary.

This arrived quickly. It appears to be good quality. I only gave it a 3 because I bought this for Lichtenberg wood burning. Worthless for that purpose no matter what other reviews say.

quite a product, used it to burn 3 pieces of wood and wow this piece of crap just stopped working!! worked fine for 2 hours then died I would never buy this shit again! Look at the reviews others had similar experiences and some didnt get to use theres at all! wheres quality control on this?? No frazzled wires no visible damage just junk craftsmanship,unbelievable.. Do not buy !!!

I purchased this transformer and thought that it had arrived DOA. I submitted a return request and the company responded with all the information necessary to return the unit. They also included some things that are commonly misdiagnosed along with a process to test if the unit was bad. It turned out the section of neon glass I was using was the problem, not this transformer. The product works great and the company handled everything with professionalism.
