If you work on cars occasionally this is a great tool to have for an economical price. It is much easier to use than a pair of regular pliers of channel locks when moving clamps around to service hoses.

These are good, solid hose/ring clamp pliers, as long as you keep them out of wet environments and keep them dry....they will rust. Now that I've got them, I'm wondering why I never got some years ago !? 🙂

If you've ever tried to squeeze a hose clamp with regular pliers or needle nose pliers, you know just what kind of pain in the ass that can be. These pliers designed just for doing that will be a BIG help. Appear to be well made and has nice comfortable rubber grip handles. Has a ratcheting mechanism that will lock into position each advancement of squeezing the pliers down on the hose clamp. That is a nice feature. Glad to finally have these in my tool box.

the lock will hold the position and make it easier to push the radiator into the metal pipe. It takes very little effort to install my new radiator pipe on a 2009 RAV4.
