I bought two different products for use in attaching fenders to the side of my dinghy. The first product I bought (not this one) worked great and has excellent suction power. Unfortunately this product continually falls off. The issue is that it lacks sufficient volume inside the cup for good suction power - and the plastic is too hard to allow for a hood attachment. Please save your money and look for a different product.

Ordered these to secure a cat condo to a window and they worked perfectly. I thought I had ordered clear plastic suction cups, but these are opaque white... still work fine, just don't match the others in my application.

Works great unless the plastic ball comes apart. The plastic ball is 2 pieces and these hold together so long as there is not much strain on the top half of the ball. I was using these to secure the handle of a fishing net and when unstrapping the net the top half of the ball popped off into the water. Same thing happened to the second unit. Good thing it is a four pack and I have two working units remaining. I will super glue the two plastic pieces together on the remaining units. The suction power is decent enough to hold something light in place (like a handle to a fishing net or to strap dock lines out of the way) but I would not use these to secure something heavier.

I bought these to attach baby toys to a high chair tray (and other surfaces)... it works great and keeps the baby toys from ending up on the floor. The suction cups are just over 3 inches wide. The suction does loosen over time (with a baby yanking on the attached toys) and I've found the baby chewing on the suction cups occasionally, but they are too large to be a choking hazard. I wouldn't recommend letting a baby chew on them though as I could find no information regarding the composition of the plastics involved.

While RV'ing in Colorado I used these to make some skirting for my RV. Now for those who do not know the exterior composition of an RV can vary. Full gel-coat, paint with decals, aluminum etc. Mine is what I call paint with decals and the base is aluminum. (Keystone Montana 3400RL).I went out in 30 - 40 degree weather when I decided it was time to attach my skirting. I was attaching 24 of these. I used Windex as my cleaner. After cleaning I attached them with either Windex, saliva or just pushed them hard against the RV. I had a very high rate of success with no single method. Then it warmed up to 60+ sun facing and 3 became stubborn but eventually I got them to stay as well. I used a 4' x 20' 16mil tarps, 12" tent stakes. Now if you have been to Colorado you know it's windy. Well let me say that the stakes came out way more often than any of these suction cups.I did not test them but they say rated for 60lbs I can believe that as I have pulled on them and they stay stuck. When you remove them, there is a tine little tab, you can barely touch it and the cup falls right off.

These are advertised as boat cover tie downs, but there are endless potential uses. Personally, I used them to hold an awning over the top of my teardrop trailer. These do stick and hold wonderfully on a smooth surface (like a car or glass), however, any plastic suction cup will not stick if there is any texture to the surface whatsoever. It's the nature of the beast. If air can get in, the suction will not hold because it relies on creating a vacuum. For example, I tried using suction cups on the interior of my trailer, which is covered with very smooth, finely-finished birch wood. It was a no-go. Same thing with the interior of my trailer bathroom since there was a slight texture. So, assuming your intended application is on something with a mirror-like finish, you'll be golden with these. Also, any suction will lose vacuum over time. My GPS falls off my windshield every once in a while and needs to be "reattached." Again, it's the nature of the beast. If your expectations are set appropriately, you'll love the convenience of these tie downs.

I bought these suction cups for a slightly different use than what most people are going to use them for, but I am still using them as suction cups never the less. I got these suction cups to hold up silk plants in my snake's tank because the suction cups that came with the silk plants kept falling off when the snake would climb up them. I will start by saying this, I WILL be buying more, they are great! These suction cups came in a pack of 4 and each one is about 3 or 3 1/2 inches in diameter. I didn't use the tie downs so for this review I am focusing only on the actual suction cup. When I first took one of these suction cups out of the package I stuck it the the refrigerator door and pulled as hard as I could and the only thing to budge was the actual door itself and not the suction cup! I then went around the house sticking them to things to see how well they worked. The verdict was this, theses things are awesome! They stick to almost everything, can support a ton of weight or resistance, and only come undone when you pull the little tab at the base. I then placed these suction cups in the snake tank where the have not moved to this day, and my snake is a pretty heavy/active snake! Great product in my mind and for my use! Hope this helps anyone having any second thoughts about these suction cups!

If you put a little moisture(spit) on the cups and put them on a smooth surface they do a pretty good job. I gave four stars because even with the spit they sometimes slide to a point where they can pop off. However, they work about 95% of the time. I have used them so long the elastic has lost some of its stretch and I have to pull almost to the water line to get them taunt enough to hold the boat cover. I will be looking for new elastic because the suction cups are still in great shape after many, many uses.
