Installation steps:
--First remove the valve cover, remove the rocker arm and rocker arm guide
-- Next place the bottom aluminum plate and middle section where the rocker arm bolts are installed on top of the studs with 2 bolts in the head, making sure the tool is set between the two valve springs.
-- Hand tighten with a wrench and socket. Do not over tighten, if you use impact it can cause damage to the head.
-- Place the top on the two valve springs and install the nuts. Note: Always make sure the studs are greased.
--If you are using this head on an engine mounted head, then you want to use a fitting for compressed air in the spark plug hole to keep the valve pushed in close before tightening.
-- Do not use impact as this will cause the nut to overheat and strip the threads, only hand tighten the nut slowly.
-- To prevent them from falling into the head, you can remove the valve retainer with a magnet after compressing the spring.
-- After removing the retainer, you need to slowly twist the nut to release the pressure and remove the spring.
Use the same procedure to install the new springs. Before releasing the pressure, secure it properly and make sure it is in the proper position when reinstalling the valve retainer.
*Springs are not included in the product. Read the instructions included in the package first.
Tips: Adding lubricant will work more perfectly. It is not recommended to buy cheaper alternatives, which will not last long. Thanks!

Did the job and for the price there are no complaints. If you don't beat on it or treat it like a high quality piece, it'll last. Think harbor freight, cheap tool and good for the couple of times you'll ever use it.

I bought this for my 4.6 does corns Victoria! It says it fits, but it doesn’t! This was made for an older engine.

The tool advertises it is for spring removal on overhead Valve applications but the spacing between Rocker petastool bolts is too wide to accommodate the tool. Side note; the tool felt very light duty if not even flimsy for a tool that has to withstand the pressure of the springs. Personally I wouldn’t feel safe using it even had it fit.

Ok here is what I diidnt like. No instructions. bolts didnt fit my 96 dodge. so I had to use the bolts from the rockers. It was a little hard to adjust. Had to drill a little bigger hole so it would slid in place easier. Also realized it was slanted little to fit only one way. ok this is what i liked about. Once i got the kinks out. It was wonderful and fit. did 2 valve springs at once. Didnt have to hit with hammer to make the spring to come loss. Made it way easier then the clamp style. Worth the money.
