I read the reviews and gambled because I needed it quickly. Alternator worked fine until the pulled decided to become two pieces after about a 100 miles. Amazon was easy to work with on return but was disappointed that it failed the way it did.

It was a alternator fir a tractor. 30 min to swap old to new. 10 min use and drive pulley split and failed. It was milled to thin. Put pully from old alt to new to repair. It would have been Waste of time to send back. I need it fixed. Alt then worked but after a my two hr repair time. Alt was cheaper from Amazon but I got what I paid for, cheaply made part. Buy local, pay more but get better quality and easier company contact. Amazon didn't make the cheap part? But they did sell it.

Searched alternators for an old (81) motorhome, and this one came up as the right fit for it. As it turned out, the old one had been mickey-moused into the engine compartment, and my mechanic said it was lucky it didn't start a fire!!! He finally located the right plug, then had no trouble installing this Delco alternator into my vehicle. It is running as it should, charging the battery.

This alternator has a much better quality look and feel than whats available at the parts houses. I had issues with the voltage regulator fluctuating wildly and failing after a month of use but it's 100% after replacing that. Charging is now stable 14.8 at startup and 14 while cruising.

a real good rebuild. new front piece and pulley/fan, and the back case is nicely bead blasted. it also works good in the car.
