I bought this fan for my orchid terrarium to help with the airflow. I was kind of skeptical because it's obviously made for electronics, but it works perfectly. It's been going nonstop for months without a single issue at all.

The fans work perfectly, are good quality, and are silent. Some of the negative reviews indicate that these fan do not move much air. While that may be true compared to other similar fans, these usb fans are not intended to have a high CFM (cubic feet per minute-it is a measure of air flow volume) and their intended purpose is not high velocity. High CFM fans are loud and are not low voltage usb. However, the 2 fans together allow for increased cooling without noise. There are other products if you need high velocity. If you purchase the wrong tool for the job, it’s not the manufacturer’s fault that it did not work for the intended purpose. Additionally, AC infinity’s customer service is extremely responsive and courteous. They responded to every inquiry, did it quickly, and resolved the issue in my favor. AC Infinity is located in CA.

薄型が欲しくて買った。狭い場所でも使えるのは良かったが、80mm製品と比較して音が大きく少し残念だった。

Could be improved by having the speed controller on the branch that goes to the fan instead of on the main power branch of the power supply cord.

Let me just say, that over time I have bought 4 of these fans. Why? Because they work really well.I have two external Western Digital My Book hard drives. These hard drives don't have any active cooling (no fans), so any heat generated by hard drives is simply exhausted out the top of the plastic case. When the hard drives were in use, the temperatures of the drives would increase to 50-55 degrees (over 40 degrees at idle), causing the hard drives to be throttled, and lower performance.I put two of these fans on the top of each of the cases (where the heat escapes). I put the fans so they pull the heat out of the case (blowing the air away from the case). With the fans, the hard drives now stay below 40 degrees in use, and around 30 degrees when idle. The only issue (not a major issue) is that the fans are louder than I would have thought. I can hear their whirring sound from the other side of the room. It isn't a loud sound, but it is noticeably. When my computer is on, though, the sound is drowned out by my computer's fans.Overall, the fans are great for keeping my hard drives cool, even when they are in use, which helps keep their performance from being throttled.

OK the serious stuff. They provide a cooling solution for NVMe external enclosure heatsinks. Also they work other vented storage enclosures you can find on Amazon.com that lack active cooling. They work well as do all of the AC Infinity Cooling solutions. They are high quality compared to other choices. The fan impeller is quiet and you can adjust the speed for near silent running characteristics.Test Images:40mm AC Infinity fan unit set to High.Raid Mini enclosure with two Seagate FireCuda 2 TB hardrives.Acoustic emissions very close field measurement. Rating: Office environment and below normal conversation levels.Second measurement-Relative Ambient sound levels about four feet away from test rig and two feet from four-120mm case fans. Rating-Quiet living room.Differential Acoustic Results:17.3 db...of course who sits with their ear on the fan except people whom mounted their fans to eyeglass frames.I think the inline stringing feature which allows you to chain additional fans together is just too cumbersome in this instance due to the weight of the fan itself. Instead it would be nice if this portion of cabling came terminated at each end so you could remove it and plug it back inline as needed. Also when using a USB Hub as a power source where the device that needs cooling is close, 8"-18" max inch's in lead length would work better than the wire bundling requirement with the current configuration.

As an IT Admin for a small Transportation Company we have a large monitor set up so we can view all of our vehicles out on the road. After the remodel we wanted a better solution than using an older Dell PC which was using up precious desk space. We purchased an Intel W5 Pro with an Atom x5-z8350 & 2GB of Ram running Windows 10 Pro. As we just needed it to display a web browser we felt this solution which would free up space as well should do the job. After a few months of 24/7 operation I noticed the fan was starting to fail and temps started to rise. Finding the actual replacement fan didn't seem to be an option due to how proprietary the little fan was. Looking for a USB powered alternative I stumbled across this, took off the case on the W5 and strapped it to the top.Ugly? Sure, but as you can see adding the fan brought temps down from 70/80c to 36c!! With averaging around 55 or so with a moderate work load. As far as acoustics it's fairly silent on the lowest fan speed setting. I experimented with turning the speed up but didn't make that much of a difference. So keeping it on the lowest setting is best. The monitor has a USB port where it pulls power and the nice thing is that it will go to sleep when the monitor does. It is not connected to the compute stick as I didn't want to stress the little device any further.So... great little fan for 10 bucks. Moves a good amount of air, is quiet and has 3 speed settings. I highly recommend it.

Was soll ich sagen?! Es funktioniert. Die Heizungsluft kommt auf Stufe 1 um 6 °C wärmer an und nach drei Tagen ist das nasse Eck an der Decke messbar trockener geworden. Ich bin begeistert von diesem kleinen Lüfter!

This isn't the first AC Infinity fan I've bought. On electronics that put out alot of heat, quite often the manufacturer doesn't provide for adequate ventalation so you have to replace your equipment more often, and they make more money. These fans help to remove that electronic destroying heat and extend the life of your investment! I used this particular fan to cool my D-Link Router, which puts out alot of heat, but yet has no cooling fans. Because of the small size of this AC Infinity fan, it is perfect for the improved removal of heat from the router. Plus, since it sets adjacent to my computer, there are plenty of USB ports handy. In the past I have also used AC Infinity fans for cooling my TiVo Bolt and my television. The fan is described as ultra quiet, which I feel is an exaggeration. It's quiet, but not ultra quiet. If I had one complaint, it would be that the cord is so long for MY router application. It would be nice if the cord length was adjustable. This item is designed in California, but it's MADE IN Communist CHINA. Despite being made in China however, the quality seems to be very good. I recommend this item.
