I love the functionality of these hybrid striker/mallets is so useful!! You get a soft mallet at the end plus a silicone surface for playing the rim or the bowl with virtually no artifact noise. It activates sound quickly and can be used on the entire range of crystal bowls down to 6 inches. The quality of the product is great and I got them at a very price. I prefer clear mallets, but that’s just me. No plastic discoloration noted. The thickness of the silicone and the weight or feel of the solid acrylic (?) core make it a comfortable and versatile tool for sound bowls. Highly recommended!
