The grip has improved significantly and the balance of the camera with the lens has also improved noticeably. Visually, the camera looks much better. The construction is quite solid. I would improve the knob that attaches the grip to the camera, because for someone with large fingers it is very awkward to install it.Overall, it is a great accessory

Overpriced for what it is the Allen key it comes with falls out even with the 2 magnets. The Allen key is not needed as the 1/4 20 screw has a slot for a screwdriver. The smaller Allen on the flip down handle is not even included. This is a 15$ item at best. I’m sending it back

Excellent grip extension. Feels secure and makes my a6600 much easier to hand hold with larger lenses. Dovetail fits my tripod securely. So far the hinge is set at a good resistance and I don't have any problems getting to the batter or card without having to remove the plate.

Excellent product. Its fit and finish is very good. It is very suitable for photographers who want to mount a large or heavy lens on their Sony a6400 camera. This will make it much easier for them to hold the camera properly. I recommend this grip extension to everyone who owns a sony a6400 mirrorless camera.I wish this product was not so expensive.

I know that the stiffness of the hinge is designed to keep the pivoting point closed, but I don't feel that's enough. This should have some sort of lock to keep it in place, as that stiffness is going to wear out the more a user opens and closes the battery door.Otherwise, the fit was fine, and the materials used to make it are good.

This grip fits In the hand AMAZINGLY well. It's made really well, and is completely flush with the camera body. I have no complaints! Love that I can access the battery and sd card without having to remove the extension grip.

As a long-time user of Sony a6xxx cameras (the a6600 is my third), the body does not seem tall enough to provide a secure, comfortable grip for the right hand. This grip extension plate solves the problem. The extra height makes the camera much easier to work with.The surprise is the quality of engineering, materials and finish. It fits perfectly. It feels really solid, no wobble or instability. The metal is top quality. The leather (?) on the grip extension looks and feels good. The grip is well aligned with the bottom of the camera. The included hex key is held in place solidly by two magnets.The previous extension grips I have had were hollow beneath the battery/SD card door. This one is solid and hinged so that the section beneath the door swivels on a hinge to a few degrees past perpendicular, allowing full access to the door. The hinge takes firm pressure to swivel, making it unlikely that it will drop away from the bottom of the camera in use. The hinge also has what appear to adjustment points at the two ends so the swivel pressure can be adjusted using a hex key of a smaller size not supplied.I'm looking forward to taking this out for hand-held shooting and putting it to the test in use.

Fits perfect and adds the extra surface area for your pinky finger. Makes the camera feel a bit more natural holding it. Only issue I’ve had with it is attaching the mount for my tripod. Doesn’t fit as tightly as it does straight to the body.

手ブレ補正のないα6400のシャッターブレを気にして購入しました。まさにドンピシャの商品で、シャッターブレのミスが殆どなくなりました。たかが、小指1本で、こうも安定感が違うのかと、言うぐらい私には、効果的な商品でした。α6400の小さなボディで手ブレ無しの重いレンズを使いたいとお考えでしたら、絶対おすすめです。これのおかげで、α6500を買わなくて済みました。

I was very surprised by the quality of this release plate and how much it enhanced the handling of the sony a6600. The swing away battery door base is convenient but rather tight to open. My concern would be whether this could loosen up over time and need to be adjusted. II have requested to find out whether this tension is adjustable and whether it loosens up over time..
