Wasn’t exactly a direct fit. Required some bending cut works well.

Bought this for my first replacement, unit failed in 3 months. Bought a second unit, failed in 2 months. Then I bought the OEM on Amazon, twice the price. When it arrived I immediately noticed the gage of the heating element was twice the size. Spend the extra money and get the better part, you’ll only end up replacing it a gain…and again if you don’t.

Surprisingly everything seems to be really decent quality. Repair clinic wanted $115 just for the heating element + shipping. I received the element, and 4 sensors with additional hardware for less than $40.00 and my dryer is working perfectly again. This was such an easy DIY and saved hundreds.

My dryer's heating recently stopped working and I was left to do a little troubleshooting to identify what was the cause, and turns out, it was indeed the heating element.Starting off, this is OEM as far as I can tell, it's well packaged, looks identical to the original and importantly works as intended for me out of the box.Installation was a bit of a challenge (but that was on the design of the dryer and not on this part itself). It seems like some models of the Whirlpool dryer require you to take practically the whole unit apart to access (as was the case here), but some may luck out and can replace it without as much effort. I'd just suggest taking your time and following some of the guides out there on YouTube if you're like me and need to take the whole thing apart. This has been working great and my dryer is back to working, so my whole household is happy, and I have the added bit of self-satisfaction in knowing I did it. Would highly recommend getting this part if you need it, it worked perfectly for me!

My heating element fried (the coil got too hot and became so brittle it fell apart). A lot of people say replace the fuses, then go from there. It was obvious that my heating element was shot so I just ordered this whole kit and replaced all of the fuses and sensors along with the heating element (to be safe). This gave me the opportunity to service the whole machine and clean the excess lint and dust out of the unit. Runs like a charm so far and dries more efficiently. It makes the unit like new (on the inside) and gives me peace of mind that I don't have too much build-up to cause a fire.If you have never replaced these types of parts before, but you are handy and can reverse engineer the way your unit is put together then you can replace this yourself. It was fairly easy to access everything to remove the heating coil and casing to replace these parts while outside of the unit. I took photos as I went and reconnected everything like it was and viola... back in business! Be aware you will need to remove the lower front, back, and top panel covers of the unit to access all of the screws and wiring. I suggest having a vacuum handy to clean as you go. You will have to disconnect the main power cord and the housing to get the back cover off. I also removed the lint-screen housing and cleaned that thoroughly so all of the areas where air flows through are now clean. There are extra parts if your model number differs from mine. I just tossed what I did not need and but did keep the spare Thermal Fuse should that happen to fail later.Hopefully this helps you in making your decision.

It looks like it is not made cheaply and that it should last for years.
