The bathroom and kitchen walls in our century-old house are made of concrete on steel mesh that is impossible to penetrate neatly by anything short of diamond and I ordered these diamond drill bits because I have a project coming up that requires drilling into a kitchen wall. I am not ready to do that yet but I tested one of these bits on a brick and on a piece of granite. It handled both with ease. I was a little concerned that these bits only drill a core, the hollow end of the bit is filled with a wax to lubricate as it cuts (one might instead have to use water) but that will not be a problem for most purposes since one will normally drill a through-hole and, if not, the core in the hard material you are drilling will likely break off. I describe these as ‘value bits’ because they work well for so little money.
