Dude, I was skeptical at first but this thing just glides through mastic like it's loose dirt. I don't even need to apply any pressure. I just sit it on the floor and it strips it immediately. like an 8th of an inch of mastic just gone in seconds. This thing beat what solvent and blades wouldn't. It even makes the surface smooth if it had anything sticking up.My only issue is that the arbor is a bit long. I couldn't put the plate on to secure it but torqueing the wheel on with the wrench flat on the arbor worked just fine.Yeah it's worth it.

My exterior basement wall had been previously coated with liquid nails and some laminate. I had remover the laminate many years ago and painted over everything with UGL block paint. The paint was peeling, so I decided it was time to repaint everything. At first I started with a wire wheel cup on a 4 1/2" grinder. That removed the loose paint fine but was slow getting through the glue. Then I tried a stronger bead wire wheel. That was better and I cleaned up a portion of the wall with it.I looked for a diamond wheel and found this one with good reviews. I went to test it on the wall to see how long it would take. I ended up finishing the rest of the wall in about 15 min.The wheel is pretty aggressive and does mark up the wall a bit, but the glue was gone in no time. If you dont want crescent shaped gouges, then I would get something less aggressive. The wheel doesn't show any signs of wear so far. I would purchase another if I ever need one, but this will last through my project.

Three times faster than a brand new 40 grit disc alone.I run this across really quickly, so I don't dig into the concrete, then follow up with the 40 grit disc to smooth it out. Harder concrete is more resistant to unwanted abrasion from this wheel, but test it somewhere safe first. If you've got a big job this is tool for you. They make angle grinder style paint removers with wheels similar to this and adjustable depth settings. If you need to avoid harming the surface, that's the tool for you.

I don't usually write reviews but had to on this one. I needed to remove 50 years of epoxy/polyurethane coatings off of our upper deck, about 4 coats. This thing took care of it in two days what would have taken a two weeks or more with a liquid stripper. Worth every penny and still looks brand new.

This has worked well for removing coatings and glue on concrete

Cuts through old cutback adhesive well. Cutback adhesive is a black tar-like tacky substance and normal diamond wheels just smear it.Did about 500 sq ft and it still had plenty of life left.

This wheel has worked great so far for about 600sqft of Epoxy Coating Removal, still plenty of life left in wheel. Would remove coating with one pass. The PCD cutting segments are not as well attached as I would like but that could be why the price is lower, but other than that one issue which does not affect performance only possible longevity I can't complain wheel works great on any surface including concrete removal thinset paint off carpet glue mastic you name it PCD will remove it.
