Works good. Only had a bite valve before and everytime i put down my pack it would get under and be open and leak everywhere.

We haven't used the valves but mostly purchased for the mouthpiece replacements. The first couple days the mouthpiece was hard to bite and the water was hard to get out. It then got easier but now the water leaks out of the mouthpiece.

Honestly I think these are better than the original Camelbak bite valves, which sell for almost as much as this set but for a single unit! These are slightly stiffer and for me work better as they are not as gummy and when you bite they open wider with less effort. Time will tell if they leak as they age, but the included shutoff valve is very good quality - a little stiff at first but quickly got easier to use. The valves are small and a little finicky but that also means they don't get hung up on straps as much. Overall a great value!

As someone who has collected a handful of hydration bladders but prefers the Camelbak system best, I love these for retrofitting other bladder tubes with "Camelbak" style bite-valve options. Similarly, if I borrow a bladder from a friend, I like to swap out my own mouth-piece options. Hydration tubing so far seems to be a pretty standard diameter, which makes these a relatively universal option. So far, they seem to work and feel as durable and high-quality as the original brand!

You pay for what you get. The shutoff valves are completely unusable. Its a two hand operation to open and close it. The mouth pieces fit loose and often slip off when threading through the loops of my backpack.
