Bought these for my son, who is constantly breaking strings on his acoustic guitars. I so love to hear him play, so I invested in more strings for him. These are great quality and sound wonderful. More songs for Mom, yay!!

From the description, it sounds like these strings are being promoted for use as replacement strings that consume essentially no space in a bag or case. I put the entire set on an intermediate level guitar and I'm perfectly fine with them, especially at the current price. I chose the brass and they have a very bright tone. My usual size for an acoustic is 10-47 extra lights. The 10-50 size of these offers the same playability except with a slightly thicker bottom end. I take no issue with them not being individually packaged. They have stickers attached for identification. More and more companies are going in this direction. They do seem to be a bit squeakier, but a quick spray and wipe down with Finger-Ease easily took care of it. They have exceeded my expectations.

Most acoustics come with 0.012" (or even 0.013") strings when new, but as I get older I find my hands fatigue more easily, so I've switched all my acoustics to 0.010" "light" gauge strings like this set. Beginners especially will find that standard gauge strings are difficult to play, especially when learning barre chords, so I highly recommend moving to lighter strings. To my ear these sound comparable to other similarly priced strings. Expensive sets will typically sound better and last longer, especially if coated, but students and beginners probably won't notice much difference.I do have to disagree with another reviewer who said these were too light. He mentioned his guitar had a 23" scale (25.5" is standard). The shorter the scale length, the less tension is required for a given pitch, so yes, if you're playing a short-scale guitar, these may actually be too light. But for full-sized acoustic guitars, these should work very well.

I purchased these guitar strings because they were affordable and seemed like a good deal for the price. In terms of value, they are great—they feel durable and produce a decent sound for the cost. However, I’ve noticed that they don’t seem to work as well on my guitar. I’m not sure if it’s the strings themselves or if my guitar might just not be the best match for them. They don’t seem to stay in tune as well as I’d like, and the tone isn’t as vibrant as with other strings I’ve tried. That said, for the price, they are definitely worth trying, and they could work better for someone with a different guitar or setup.

Not with the trouble, and after you get them fastened. Don’t think about taking them apart. Not worth the effort.

These work well on my acoustic guitar. Not what I usually use however, still pretty standard brass thinner type brass strings. I like different options. They sounds good. I had no problems with them. They would make a good backup pack to take along if you want lighter strings. And are at a decent lower price.
