These LC to LC Fiber Optical Coupler are a must have for most networks and should always be at the ready.They are plastic but are cheaper than the steal ones, but they work just the same.

These basic LC couplers work just fine, there isn’t much to them. An LC connector on each side will press against each other to pass light, they do not have any fiber or other components between each of the connectors. This is a standard plastic LC/UPC coupler.The color is blue for consistency with OS2 type cable color, however there is nothing to prevent these from working with any sort of fiber with LC/UPC terminations as long as both sides are of the same type. These could also be used with multi mode fiber, however the color could potentially confuse someone in the future if one chooses to use these with fiber other than intended type as the color wouldn't conform to standards.

Sometimes a keystone won't work for traversing a panel or a wall - this allows you to connect a long-rong fiber to one side and a shorter cable to a switch or router as needed so you don't chance damaging the long cable if you need to plug/unplug and move it on occasion.
