"Exterior surface" advertised as wood. It was not. It was wood grained vinyl (or some other form of plastic). Returned it. Gave it a second star only because it appeared to be sturdy, but can't be sure because I didn't bother assembling it once I realized it wasn't real woodgrain.

The instructions suck. They're only pictures and didn't even reference these small plastic cushion/spacers that I decided were to be used when attaching the hinges to the glass doors. Also one if the glass doors won't close a the way as the hinge binds a bit. I see no way to adjust it. Other than that it's fine.

We got this for our living room and it’s a good fit for our entertainment center. Appearance is nice and assembly wasn’t too hard.

I ordered two of these. The price certainly was right and unlike other reviews, except for only one item, the assembly instruction were quite easy to follow. Unlike other reviews, all the holes were perfectly aligned but if the dowel pin was not screwed in perfectly vertical, there was an "apparent" misalignment that could be easily corrected. The one item poorly defined in the instructions: Those thin square plastic pads MUST be inserted between the glass plate and the hinge metal set screws to eliminate concentrated point stress that could shatter the glass.

The wood looks really nice for the price and is sturdy, perfect for my needs. Only issue is that the instructions are a bit lacking, specifically around the small components. The pieces for the glass doors require the little rubber squares to be inserted to protect the glass from the screws. The middle magnet piece also has to be aligned just right and only two holes are pre-drilled, so you must screw it in yourself through the wood.

I gave it a three star as it had a few deep scratches, defect in front etc; BUT AMAZON , came good for me.
