The first unit was defective - delamination and slightly swollen that it wouldn't fit inside the phone case. The replacement unit works well

The battery doesn't fit with original LG V20 back cover. The battery is slightly too thick and stands proud of the device. The rear cover can not be put back on.

It died so as a last option I bought a battery from Amazon. To my surprise it seems to work better than when it was new. Go figure.

I just received the battery a few hours ago, and I was unable to install it (the back cover doesn't close, because the battery is slightly thicker than the original one).The first thing I noticed is that the battery is noticeably heavier than the original one (which makes sense, as it is a higher capacity battery, so it has a higher density.I will not buy any high capacity batteries for the LG V20 from now on, and stick to the original capacity. I think manufacturers are trying to pack too much energy, and in doing so, they end up with batteries that are slightly larger than the original battery specification.I also noticed that the shell of the battery appears to be not metal, but some kind of soft plastic, and there were some indentations along a couple of the edges. Not something I want to see in a battery of any kind.

I guess a tiny amount of swelling is normal for a Lion battery but this battery is such a tight fit that even the slightest swelling makes it very difficult to get the back on. And if you do push it to get the back on I worry that it might create more damage and swelling. But I have run this with the back slightly unlatched but with a tight fitting case and that actually works OK. But it seems a bit unsafe and inconvenient. Still, great battery life.

I've only been using it it for about 3 weeks, originally ordered 2 and then decided to buy 2 more as backups. (when I find something this good I stock up) I love the long life during the day. I use my phone to watch tiktok videos and to check the weather and receive messages. I'm very happy with it's performance.

It would die sometimes many times a day.I use my LG V20 mostly as my personal cell, currently. In my previous roles, I used it for work and I would always need to recharge during the day. I opted for a larger capacity battery pack (10,000mAh) and it was a beast, both in power storage and overall added weight to my phone. I was able to record video and audio, for hours at a time.When I changed up my roles with work, I no longer needed to be a power user. In fact, I am rarely on my mobile these days. This is true for both work and personal. I do not need a huge heavy battery and I needed to replace it with something lighter, but has a capacity slightly better than the OEM battery.I found this battery and it has solved a lot of my issues. I do not need to worry about phone weight. I like that the capacity is larger than the OEM and it delivers solid power and the need to charge is every couple of days.The value on this battery is decent. The price at the time of ordering was $16.93, which for me is an excellent price point for the quality of this battery.All in all, I am ecstatic that I could get a replacement battery for my phone I ordered in 2017. I like the LG V20 and I will be saddened when the end of life notice on the hardware drops. However, I am very pleased with this battery and I really like the weight, ease of install, the capacity, and that it does not run hot.Recommended.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

I've been testing the battery for few days, it's working, charging, not discharging too quickly, however its capacity is far from 4600mAh, I'm using the Accubattery app which estimates battery capacity and it's around 3900-4000mAh and lowering slightly with every charge.

Works great and lasts for days in standby. I don't use my phone very much but I was only getting half a day in standby, 2 or 3 hours when running errands with it. Then it started shutting down at 30 or 40% and wouldn't charge on most of the chargers in the house. I almost bought a new phone but a Reddit poster said that this is a known issue with the factory batteries that come with this phone. I decided to give this new, extended battery a try because I just don't use my phone enough to warrant upgrading it. This phone is old but fantastic. It worked! You saved me $200+ bucks.It also fits perfectly. No problems closing the back cover or anything. Very pleased with this purchase.
