This is a really heavy duty post. I got it for attaching a little free library to, although we decided to go a different direction and so this has not been installed yet. I like that it is heavy, quality steel and simple to put together. The plate for holding a mailbox is secure and sturdy too. The sizing is perfect for mailbox height, and I would say you could probably spend less for one at a big box store, but it wouldn't be this heavy-duty. If you're looking for something that will last, this is a great option.
