I needed this for installing mini splits on my house and it worked so much better than some of the cheaper products. I know it's expensive but it cores through block and stucco like butter. Just make sure to have someone behind you with a shop vac to catch all the dust this thing creates.

I bought this to drill two 3" vent holes for a new tankless water heater. It just about completed one hole before the threaded base sheared from the core. I had to go to Home Depot and pay retail for a Bosch core drill bit to complete the job. Don't waste your money on this.

There are barely any diamonds on this bit. The end of the bit is almostly completely smooth making drilling a hole nearly impossible. I have several core bits and this one doesn't compare to the others. Do yourself a favour a buy a better brand.

I am installing a mini-split AC in my Living Room to assist my 5 ton HVAC. The LR is vaulted and my only exterior wall is above my 12' wide slider. Mini-split returns need 6" clearance on top so there is a vertical limit for lineset hole. I thought I was above the lintel and trying to use a Spyder 3.5" x 2" (depth) hole saw when I hit horizontal rebar.I realized I was still in the lintel and that Spyder wasn't going to cut it (literally). I logged onto Amazon and found this E Diamond 3.5" x 9.5" diamond coring bit with next day delivery! This thing is massive, but worked like a champ!I had no issues mounting the arbor in my Ryobi P251 Brushless Hammer combo drill (use drill mode only). Make sure to orient the arbor bit correctly so that the set screw lines up with the flat section of the arbor bit. Once I secured the set screw, the arbor bit didnt move. Screwing on the corer was easy and I was ready to proceed. My Ryobi uses an 18v battery, I would recommend making sure the battery is fully charged prior to using it for a project with higher than normal power demand. The E Diamond worked great! I was on a ladder so I didn't have great leverage and took some breaks in between sessions and to let the Corer cool. I ended up having to recharge my 18v battery 3x prior to breaking through to the outside. I had an 8" solid concrete lintel w 2x 3/8" rebar that this E Diamond handled without issue.I would highly recommend this product and purchase another one if I needed a different size. The only other advice I would give would be to keep aware when removing the corer from where you are drilling to insure it doesn't accidentally backspin off the screwset since there is nothing to lock it in. I had no issues while drilling, but it did show some threads when removing from the hole.I would give this 10 stars if I could. Now to finish my A/C install ... :)

Worked as it should.3-1/2” core drilled thru a 9” thick curb for water drainage.I first ran it with a battery powered hammer drill. The core would wobble as pilot mason bit started working. I was able to scratch the surface and penetrate about 3/8” but wasn’t doing much beyond that.I plugged my corded hammer drill and it was like night and day.Core drill stayed put and drove right in.It wasn’t a fast process at first but as I was about 3” inches in, I removed the center mason bit and the core drill drove in much faster after removal.I ran a slow water flow/drip from my hose to control dust and keep core bit cool.Let the drill and bit work and be patient. Oh and be ready to add major pressure/body weight as you drill.Good luck!

Used it to drill a hole threw my block wall for the split unit. Took maybe 15 minutes and made a really clean hole. Have no regrets with this thing at all.

I needed to drill a hole through a cinder block foundation to install a ductless split mini. This tool worked perfectly. Drilled a nice clean 3.5” hole with ease. I used a ryobi cordless and it took 6 batteries to get through, but that’s not the core bits problem. I just didn’t have a corded that the arbor fit the chuck on.

The bit was used to drill a hole through brick for a mini-split air conditioner line set to pass from the inside to the outside of a home. The 3 1/2" size was selected to match the 3 1/2" outside diameter of PVC pipe used to line the hole. A trickle of water from a garden hose was used to to cool the bit. The hole was cut in just a few minutes, straight and true, using a heavy-duty 1/2" D-handle 120 volt drill. One word of caution: As the bit encounters features such as holes in the brick or breaking through the back surface of the brick, the natural tendency is for it to grab. Using an auxiliary drill handle to manage the torque is highly advised.
