Ordered 5 colors and got nothing but white. Tested all of them all white. They all work so give 3 stars for that.

It is not clear in the description that these are flashing color changing lights. I was expecting a color assortment of steady LEDs. Going through the reviews (after the fact) I see that I am not the first person to have this problem.

These lights work great, HOWEVER, the black wire is the hot, and the colored wire is the ground - Keep that in mind. If you plug in wrong you wont hurt anything they light just wont light up. With that. I used thse on my Axial SCX24 for headlights, rock lights and tail lights. Work great, BUT, they really aren't that bright like the stock SCX24 headlights, that's the reason for the 4 stars. Otherwise I would have given them the 5 stars.

This product is not clearly labeled as changing color lights. Looking at the description I thought I was getting a mix of different colored lights, not all lights that change colors.

I bought several packs of these on a whim. I have many matrix ws2812b LED boards but had not encountered 5x5. I use these types of things for various projects at the junction of art, science, math, creativity. Every different layout triggers new ideas that become some kind of math art or some visualization of real-time data. I bought enough 5x5 3-packs so I could tile as much as I needed to achieve the dimensions. I challenged myself to use them as single 5x5 in the first project. It's an animated LED art show in a shadowbox with great diffusion. It is a modern art kind of thing with things not like the others strewn around willy nilly on the display surface. The code I wrote use each "thing" as a unique class with an "on_frame" function to render. That collection of those instances know the relative position of the data for itself in the stream of neopixel data and maps the proper sequence onto each disparate object. Very abstract, random, interesting, full of colorful movement, and it makes me smile. Point is that the appearance of a 5x5 matrix triggered a new experiment that worked magically to animate the non-normalized collection that maps to region of addresses in pixel buffer.One negative is the order of the solder pads. It is ideal when rings or other shapes use a pin order the preserves Ground-DataIn-VCC+. Then you can solder 3 header pins and plug in with the male JST 3-pin connectors to hook them up. It is a super convenience and I'll pay an extra buck for that. Here it i DataIn, VCC+ (5V), DataOut. There is no way to just plug in the typical cable with patching the pins. Easy enough to do that but I really love not having to. I solder two male JST 3-pins to create a prototype rig to plug into any controller with only headers soldered to the ws2812b board if it maintains the logical order. Not a big deal. More a personal pet peeve.TL;DR: try these out. The products from Aceirmc in general are good values for quality ws2812b stuff.
