Looks great, but at idle the alternator is squealing . Turned the idle up a little and it stopped squealing.

My 100 amp powermaster took a dump . I was going to have it rebuilt but decided to go with this one after reading all the good reviews , plus it’s chrome mine was just raw metal . Installed on a 62 Chevy impala with a 327 . So far it’s giving a good 14V chargeUpdate 2/27/25The alternator started making a slight humming noise.

I am not sure as I have had company and have not installed it yet but if it is what it says it is it will be Great. It’s hard for me to rate something I have not used. I could and hope to rate it Excellent

Nice chrome. Made a whining noise for about 15 minutes at first start up. Went away and charges normally. 13.7 volts steady

The alternator works and looks good. I do now have an electrical whine in my stereo that I did not previously have. I've tried noise suppressors for my stereo but still have the annoying whine.

Not sure if this has a warranty or not but it has an intermittent dead short from the positive terminal to ground. Causes non repairable battery damage. All this after only 438 kilometres! Don’t waste the money.

The chrome on this alternator is pitting from the factory. The quality is not very well. Not impressed with the finish. I would not recommend purchasing this alternator. I cannot speak to the performance of it but I don’t think I will get that far as it really doesn’t look very good. Unfortunately it may just stay in the box and I’ll have to find another one.

Alternator - Chrome - GM 350 BBC SBC 100AmpGood:Shipping was exactly on timePackaged Very wellCame with Chrome-like Upper and rear install bolts, also Charge wire bolt. (no 'long/bottom bolt)Seems to be working as expected, at about 1200rpm+ it changes - will update if i have any issues.Self Excite seems to be working perfectlyBad:Came with 1/4 inch Damaged and rusted area on chrome; Clearly a pre-existing manufacturing issue or damaged during storage. .. its not visible once installed;.. could Not have been due to shipping as boxes were in Perfect condition.EDIT - After One year of installation (appox june/july 2023) , the chrome is bubbling/cracking (See pic) Everywhere on it .. even on the top :(But it IS still working.
