I installed these and I could get the audio to work but the mic doesn’t work at all with either port in the pack.UPDATE - I saw another reviewer saying they had to sand down the actual plastic part of the replacement ports to get it to perfectly fit the xbox controller. I tried that and everything seems to be working now. These replacement ports are indeed about a millimeter or two longer than the original ports so I’m docking the review one star instead of my original two. But sanding it down with a little nail file is pretty easy and does work. Just make sure you compare it to the original Xbox jack to get the length right.

Installation was a snap after reviewing a video from Youtube. About 15 minutes total. The one I installed I could hear everything coming out of my headset from the elite. Unfortunately the mic wouldnt work at all even though it was recognized by the xbox. I ended up having to remove it and install the second unit and now it works perfectly. Like others have said, buy the 2-pack to make sure you're not out another week or so waiting for a second piece that may or may not work.

Easy to get to when you have the appropriate tools, I advise taking your time, have a well lit environment ,ideally a can of aerosol compressed air to clean out the dust in the tight components.

Had to replace a broken headphone jack on the Model 1697 worked well was able to dismantle the controller and swap out the components didn't need to sand it down like other reviewers.

Tool kit works perfectly for getting into the controller. A little bit of a consumer error by me getting an Xbox One Elite aux replacement, make sure the model numbers for the controller match the aux jack replacement. You’ll be able to quickly realize if you have the wrong replacement as the controller will not want to close back up after attempted replacement.Other than that consumer error, this kit works perfectly for replacing the aux jack...just make sure you order the right replacement!

This fixed perfectly one of my son's Xbox one controllers. This ear jack replacement works with controller model 1697. We don't have an elite controller, but we do have a 1708 and it does not fit that one.
