Over the last couple of years I have watched a ton of soap making videos and finally decided I to dip my toes in with melt and pour. This soap comes in two blocks that are individually wrapped and and stowed into a paper bag. The blocks are 1 lb each and the segments are super easy to cut for easier weighing and melting. The soap does have a teensy bit of cloudiness to it in the solid state but when liquid it is perfectly clear. Melting is super easy and with my soap melter it went pretty quickly. Adding fragrance oil and colorants are pretty simple and straightforward. I used both a regular bar mold and decorative ones and the soap handled both equally as well. The soap does have a slight sticky feel to the surface when it is dry but it lathers up well and smells great. Anyway, it was a great first soap making experience and I'm looking forward to using that other pound that I have left.....

The same as soap from the store. It leaves a oil film on the water. I added 30 grams of lye water to consume the extra oils. The lye water was 30% lye. I think this will be enough to consume the oils and make good soap. Good soap shouldn't leave a oil film on water. It should blend with the water and leave no film. This will be the first and last time I buy melt and pour soap. I will stick with real soap making. As real soap is better for the skin and environment.

I prefer the glycerin soap for the cleansing effects. if you need something totally clear and free of irritants, this is it! If you want to mix your blend of herbs or oils into it, it bends very well and molds quickly. soaps are ready in just a couple hours in the fridge, hardened sooner. Works best with silicone molds, slides right out, or put in the freezer before trying to knock out.

I think this is a really great product. It's unscented, and comes in recycled packaging, which I like very much. I would have preferred that the packaging listed the ingredients, but those can be found online and include olive and coconut oil.The blocks are segmented, which makes them easy to break apart and use for melt and pour soap. It's clear, so it has a beautiful effect with soap dyes. I think it's a very nice product, it's easy to use, and it's offered at a very reasonable price.

I actually wanted to make melt and pour soap for feet, lol. With some peppermint essential oil. With that being said, I can't comment on how it feels all over my body since I only used it on my feet.It melts just fine for me, and seems to have taken my peppermint essential oil just fine.My feet feel clean and refreshed after using it, and I really don't have any complaints .There isn't an ingredient list on the package, but the description online has it for anyone needing that info.Overall I'm happy and it works for what I wanted it for!
