PMNN4409 - IMPRES Intelligent Charging System is a new type of charging system that has an automated battery and can be recharged multiple times. This replacement battery comes in a 2 pack kit. It comes also come with the belt clip which is nice touch. The factory belt clip does work on these batteries. So I'll be tossing these extra clips in the drawer.The battery came about 70% charged so it's not a big deal. I popped them in my original Impres charger and the charger recognizes it and begin to charge the battery.After the charge I slid them to both my hand held radio. So for some reason. These two battery doesn't slide into the radio as nicely. You have to use some force and push the battery up and into the radio.Also note. These batteries don't have the Impres chip in it. So your radio will just show you it's a non Impres battery. So that's not a big deal. You can still use it and charge it just like the factory battery. So far so good and it lasted about 8 hours with heavy use and transmitting on maximum power of 8 watts.So far they work and the only issue is how the battery fit. So I'm giving it 3 stars as you need to push the battery in with some force.

As for performance they outdo my 2 yr old original branded batteries. The plastic is of lesser quality compared to those, has that cheap hard feeling and sound. They are kinda hard to get to snap on but I think that's just from being new and havent worn in to the radio yet. They'll make it thru a 12 hr day of my rigger having it keyed prolly a solid 3 to 4 hrs a day. As for the one that stays in my crane and I only listen to it at 2/3s volume it last about 16hrs. Id make the investment if I was in the market.

These batteries work well in my XPR 7550 radios. They last about 24 hours on receive, before needing recharging.These are non-Impress type batteries, but you don't really need that feature for basic batteries.As others have mentioned, they are a little tight sliding into the radio, but I expect they will loosen up with a little bit of wear in.

I use these at work and they are the perfect replacements for the original ones that lasted longer than they probably should have. I hope they last as long as the the 1st ones!Looks and feels like OEM at a value price.

These work out perfectly for the XPR7580e's I own. They include belt clips and fit perfectly into my Original Equipment (OE) charging base. After fully charging them I tested these out for a full days work. They performed excellent. I'm not sure if they work with the proprietary Impress but my radio certainly doesn't think so. Regardless, they still work great and are cheaper than OE packs.
