Complete crap. Took 30 minutes to go through cmu and 2 hours to get 4 of the 6 inches needed to core. With two more holes to go I went and rented one just to finish all in 45 minutes. Against all rules of physics it cut through rebar faster than concrete. Made myself look stupid at work for buying it.

The tool doesn't show much wear yet and I think will last for many more holes. I used a 1/2 drill and kept things cool by using a water hose. So this drill bit will go through concrete and aggregate stone. This was my first time using something like this and it is fantastic but next time I would get a jig or a rail mounted drilling setup as handheld is almost impossible if you are using a generic drill as you can break your wrists if you hold on too tightly. It does pulverized the stone 100% but get a jig that guides your drill. And you must have your pilot hole ready first. It was a frustrating but fantastic learning experience.Brick and concrete (no aggregate) is way easier but again take your time.

Used to drill two holes through a concrete wall 10" thick for furnace vent. For a guy who needs a few holes its a good item. Not built for heavy duty use.IS NOT SDS COMPATABLE!

I used the 2.5 inch core bit to bore a hole through a block retaining wall. This bit did a great job! It created a clean cut on the entry and exit sites. My drill was a bit under powered so it took an hour including the time to rest the drill. The bit looks like it could cut many holes before needing to be replaced. I highly recommend using an industrial drill designed for this purpose.

I used this 2.5" bit to bore a hole through block for mini-split AC lines and it worked like a champ! The only small issue I had was a tendency for the bit to wobble when first making contact with the block, but once it started to bite then it was off to the races! The hole I drilled had to pass through a difficult area on block joints and there was inconsistency throughout, but taking my time paid off and I ended up with a perfectly bored hole. I couldn't be happier with the results. I'll be looking for other sizes to build a set of these high quality boring bits.
