Product Description

1

Features:

1. A sensitive sensor type photoresistor

2. The comparator output signal is clean, good waveform, driving ability, more than 15mA.

3. Adjustable potentiometer to adjust the brightness of the light detection

4. Working voltage: 3.3V-5V

5. Output format: digital switching outputs (0 and 1)

6. A fixed bolt holes for easy installation

7. PCB size: 3.2cm x 1.4cm

8. Wide voltage LM393 comparator

Module instructions

1.The photoresistor module is most sensitive to ambient light, generally used to detect the brightness

of the surrounding environment, triggering a single-chip or relay module;

2. When the brightness of the ambient light reaches the set threshold, the DO end outputs a high level.

When the ambient light brightness exceeds the set threshold, the DO end outputs a low level;

3. The DO output terminal can be directly connected to the single-chip microcomputer, and the high-low level

is detected by the single-chip microcomputer, thereby detecting the change of the light brightness of the environment;

4. The DO output terminal can directly drive the relay module of the store, which can form a light control switch.

The first one I tried worked great and I was able to code it into my project without any issues. The only CON was also a significant benefit. The LEDs that help guide the unit’s photo processing while I was tuning it. So, I tuned one unit with LEDs, noted the difference from factory defaults and tried to solder the LEDs out. That didn’t work so I did it the Texas way and just put the point of a razor below the LEDs until they popped out. It ain’t gotta be right to work. These LEDs are great for tuning the settings so I can’t fault the unit for my intense power consumption needs. I haven’t had a unit fail my desired results yet.

Great quality. The adjustment is very sensitive. Work best with a dedicated white LED light.

I tested one of these on a breadboard using a D1 Mini (3.3 volts). The D1 has only one Analog Input (A0) and I need it to monitor the battery. This LDR module would let me monitor the outdoor light level (day or night) using one of the digital input pins instead.Unit worked fine without requiring any adjustments. Output was easily read using Pin D0.My only grip is that you can't disable the LED indicator lights on this module. I'm making a battery powered project that will run 24/7 and can't afford to waste power on lights that no will ever see.I will try and unsolder the two LEDs. Hopefully that will work for me.Boss Hog :)

Pretty much a plug and play solution for sensing light. Adjustable for light levels (though a very small amount of adjustment makes a rather large change in sensitivity). Keeps your code trimmed down as you only have to worry about detecting high/low. It also has an indicator led which I found useful for getting the sensitivity dialed in.
