How to use:
1, The use of bottle should be filled with water, not filled with water will lead to internal pressure is too high and lead to leakage.
2, The use of the water spout should be tightened, so there can be no leakage of air, otherwise it will lead to water leakage.
3, The water bottle inverted, finger blocking the spout, and shake a few times to empty the air at the front of the spout, so that the vacuum inside the bottle promotes the balance of pressure inside and outside the bottle.
4, Installed the water bottle, in the first few minutes, there may be a natural drip of normal phenomenon! When the pressure inside and outside the bottle reaches a balanced state will stop dripping.

With the first order of this product it leaked profusely no matter what we did. A return and reordered thinking I got a defective product. And based on the reviews it seemed like it might be relatively decent. The second set that came in not only leaked but was Rusty. I don't even understand how that can be with a new product but the straw part that the guinea pig would drink out of was Rusty upon opening on one of the bottles. Needless to say we didn't use that one and then when we did use leaked profusely so it was a colossal waste of money and time.

These bottles beside quality is great. They don't leak as advertised, and they fit well for all types of cages. They come with both the hangers, and spring hooks depending on what you want. Most likely the problems I encountered are due to courier, and packaging. The packaging for these are quite cheap and generic, a super think plastic bag that tears easily. The packing it came it from amazon was those bubble wrapped envelopes which aren't safe for much. One of my hangers were bent and there was a lot of scuffs on my bottles. There was scratches due to the bent hooks which aren't easily bent back to place. For its job it works even with all the problems I encountered. There was also a quality control where one of my bottles stainless steel cover was not fully put on, and another still had the plastic molding sticking out which can be a problem.

For plastic pet water bottles, these are very good. The problem I normally run into with small animal water bottles is getting them to stay on the cage. Typically they will have ONLY an elastic or spring band to hold them on and will not be flat area on the back.These have a flat back, and the hook part fits tightly around the water bottle itself. These are leak proof, at least in my experience with them so far. The animals have no problem drinking from them, I would say it seems easier for them to pull water out of these then the glass ones that I have. They are fairly easy to clean, I don't think they are dishwasher safe though, so make sure you have the proper cleaning tools to get inside the mouthpiece.Very very good purchase for such a low price, and since they hook on instead of clipping on, you can use them for a variety of different habitats and cages, without being limited to just the wire ones.
