I was going to discard at least 6 tools with dead outdated batteries. These adapters are amazing ! They work great.

Purchased for a friend. He didn’t realize that they were an option for his 18V. His batteries are old and was going to have them fixed and replaced. Cheaper to just buy the 20V batteries.

Invaluable for converting Dewalt 18V tools to use the newer 20V batteries. These particular adapters take up very little room on the tool, which is very convenient when working in tight spaces. They are a great value for the money. This is the second set I have ordered. I do not have to move them from tool to tool any more. DO NOT BE CONCERNED about the difference in voltage. The tools all work great with these.

They technically work, but the quality is pretty poor. They are a sloppy fit, mostly on the battery side. The battery moves around a lot and I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually comes loose or has intermittent connection. Not impressed at all.

This is a review for: "2 Pack DM18D Battery Adapter Compatible with Dewalt 18v Tools, Convert Compatible with Dewalt 20v or Compatible with Milwaukee 18v Li-ion Battery to Work with 18v Power Tools"I had a whole arsenal of DeWalt 18V power tools pre-20V era and as I have been adding new tools I gradually phased out my 18V tools except for the more expensive ones I rarely use. Since I sold my drills and heavily used 18V stuff, I no longer had any chargers or batteries to run them. I have since been getting these adapters for when I do need them and can use my 20V batteries. These are great, have nothing that I can tell internally that drains the battery. I opened one of them up because something was rattling right out of the box and I also was just curious what the wiring size looked like. The leads seem to be beefy enough to carry the load. One of the side clips for releasing the adapter from the tool was rattling which I discovered after opening it up. The spring piece fell out while the other did not. I carefully removed the other spring clip to see how it was in there and put the other one back in as it was supposed to be but still rattled. I couldn't tell anything different from the other side other than it just was a bit looser. In order to stop the rattling I took a pair of pliers and held the clip and bent the spring clip a bit more for the two longer fingers more in the direction they were already angled and then bent the center bar the opposite way. I think possibly the hole the spring rested in wasn't quite as tight as the other side, after re-inserting the spring and button it was now sufficiently tight enough to not rattle. It could be a QA issue with the plastic base or the spring clip may have been slightly different or defective. Either way I resolved the issue to my liking. Because of the rattle and/or QA issue I will deduct 1 star.
