This is a follow up to my earlier post. A company representative reached out and did offer me a return solution. I am very pleased with the results of the transaction. This has nothing to do with the quality of the product. I have three Ryobi pieces of equipment and 5 batteries, they are the best in class and I have had no issues for over two years of use!

Was shipped right away. Works as advertised. Happy it was not damaged, suggest some foam or bubble wrap around it in box.Otherwise, happy with purchase.

I purchased this battery in May 2023 for $108 after tax. It died in November 2024. I have never left it on the charger for extended periods of time. I tried my best to preserve it. But now the lights blink and it does not power any of my Ryobi tools. My original battery is 3 years old and still running strong. It's not worth buying these for cheap knowing they will only last you around a year.

This 4Ah battery is pretty expensive, equal to their previous 5Ah battery. And there's 6Ah batteries for the same price as this 4Ah one that last a little longer. (I got it for $135)And this thing seems overly-sensitive to the temperature. It will not let you charge until it is fully, fully, at room temperature. Which usually takes about 5 hours after mowing. While the 6Ah knockoff battery is ready to charge after only an hour or two of cooldown.I realize it's to lengthen the life of the battery, but I honestly didn't realize this was 4Ah instead of the original 5Ah it came with, so I feel kind of unhappy about the downsizing while keeping the price the same, and slowing down how frequently it can be recharged. Just feels like a step backward. If this 4Ah battery were like $90 then it would be worth it.However I'm sure the stringent temperature controls will make the Li-ion battery last longer, so I get it.It's just kind of finicky, and honestly I'll be buying the 6Ah knockoffs from now on, which cost less and after a year still last about as long as this brand new 4Ah battery.Overall very happy with the Ryobi brand, but this specific battery isn't their best product.

This battery is heavy, and it is large. That said, when mounted to my Ryobi "Whisper" blower, it is amazing how much power it has. When using this battery the blower is so strong that it is a breeze (no pun intended) to clear out the yard. A full charge is sufficient for our front yard and back yard with enough power left over to do it again the next time, which is saying something because after a day or two of strong winds there are leaves and pine needles everywhere. Is it too big? No. Is it too heavy? No. Would I purchase this battery again . . . I already have. When charging, the battery lets you know when it is fully charged. Worth every penny!

I had ordered the 40V 4.0Ah battery, and it worked out of the package. Because it was February, I didn't need to use it right away. Unfortunately, it wouldn't charge, and I wasn't aware of the problem until after the 30 day return policy. I wrote the vendor, and explained what happened, and they replaced it at no charge to me. I've been using the blower and trimmer with this battery since then, and it works perfectly. Things go wrong at times with everyone, but what a vendor does to fix it is what makes a company good or not. I would not hesitate to buy from this company again!

Ryobi sent me a defective battery. It happens. The return was a disaster and dishonest. After a delay they suggested a "fix" to solve the problem. It didn't work. I put it in two of their chargers and both chargers said the battery was defective. I sent back the defective battery they sent me and had to pay the return postage myself $18.37. When they received it they said it worked perfectly fine. It did not. Their own charger told me it was defective. They then put it back on their shelf for some poor unsuspecting customer to purchase and CHARGED ME A RESTOCKING FEE OF $18.07. So, the bottom line is they sent me a defective battery and I am out of pocket $36.74. Not to mention a ton of frustration. Do not deal with these thieves. If I had known I would have driven to Home Depot and picked one up myself. Lesson learned.
